The first day of Delhi University admissions on the basis of DU second cut-off list 2018 witnessed the withdrawal of 2,388 admissions in various colleges affiliated to the DU. On the other hand, 5,241 additional students sought admission to DU colleges after clearing the DU second cut-off.
After the DU first cut-off, close to 11,000 seats were filled in DU colleges. On the first day of DU admissions based on the second cut-off, the total number of admissions has crossed 15,000. Out of 56,000 seats offered DU, 27% of seats have been filled until June 25, 2018.

The second cut-off list of DU witnessed a drop of 0.25 to 0.75% on an average. June 27, 2018, is the last date for the candidates who cleared second cut-off to secure admission in DU colleges. The university will announce the third cut-off list on June 30, 2018. Once the second cut-off admissions are over, there will be more clarity on the number of vacant seats in popular colleges and courses.

Many students who secured admission in the first cut-off against their preference, cancelled the admission after clearing the second cut-off so that they could get admission in the top priority college and DU course. This year, the University of Delhi plans to only declare five cut-off lists. The last cut-off is expected to be out on July 12, 2018.
