DU Colleges

Delhi University is best known for providing students with enriching educational opportunities that can help them seize favourable opportunities in their particular career paths. For their educational desires, many 10+2 students and recent graduates are eager to apply for admission to DU Affiliated Colleges and Universities. Every year, more than 2 lakh applications are submitted to the Delhi University. University of Delhi which is popularly known as DU has a total of 77 constituent DU colleges  and 5 other recognized institutes that enjoy support from the nodal body. These DU colleges are categorized as Delhi University North Campus colleges and Delhi University South Campus colleges.

Courses in Engineering, Medicine, Science, and other fields are available at DU Affiliated Colleges. The admissions process for Medical and Engineering varies, though the complete guide to BA, BSc and BCom admissions can be found here. Additionally, some colleges at Delhi University, such as Jesus and Mary College and St. Stephen's College, have their own admissions procedures and eligibility requirements for the courses they offer. Based on the revised DU admissions process, admission to Delhi University colleges is based either on merit or on performance in the CUET entrance exam.

It's interesting to note that DU colleges also offer ECA quota and Sports quota admissions, for which applicants must present proof of participation and participate in trials before being accepted. At Delhi University, academic achievement is important, but talent and how it is valued are equally important. Some of the best actors, directors, businessmen, CEOs, singers, athletes, etc. have all graduated from Delhi University colleges (DU Colleges) in the past. DU Admissions 2023

DU admissions process for UG and PG courses at various DU Colleges has been revised. For UG courses, Delhi University will now have a common entrance exam. The admission process at DU has changed from the academic year 2023-24. Admission to DU will be conducted by CUET Exam. The questions to be asked in these CUET entrance exams are based on the topics included in the CBSE Board Class 12 Syllabus. The competition for these entrance exams are also very high. So, students must go through the  CBSE Board Class 12 Previous Year Question Papers to prepare for the same. For admission to UG courses at Delhi University, students must first clear the CUET entrance exam and then apply for CSAS counselling for final admission.

Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) will be used to determine admission to all DU-affiliated colleges based on CUET scores. There will be three stages to the admissions procedure. Candidates must complete the CSAS 2023 application form in phase 1. Students must choose their preferred course and college during the second phase. Seat distribution over several rounds and final admission based on a merit list will be part of the third phase.

Earlier, admission to a few UG and all PG courses was given through DU-conducted entrance exams, namely the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) or the Delhi University LLB Entrance Exam followed by a Personal Interview (PI). However, from 2023, DU will offer PG courses through CUET PG.

    Delhi University Seat 2023

Delhi University has approximately 69,554 undergraduate seats available across its colleges. Both categories of DU 2023 seats are regular seats and supernumerary seats. In order to calculate their chances of admission to their preferred course, candidates must understand how DU seats will be distributed among colleges and courses in 2023. It should be noted that the ECA and sports quotas reserve 5% of all available seats at all colleges affiliated with Delhi University.

While getting admission to a DU college or Delhi colleges is a milestone for almost every student, it is important to note that the university fails to cater to every applicant despite offering more than 60,000 seats. In such a case, aspirants can opt for similar colleges in India that not only provide a remarkable learning experience in all respects but also focus on helping students with job placements. By filling out the Common Application Form, candidates can now easily apply to multiple institutes using a single window.

Candidates can write to us in case of any queries related to DU affiliated colleges to get in touch with an admissions expert directly. Stay tuned to CollegeDekho for all DU Colleges Updates!
