- JoSAA first round seat allotment list was out on June 27, 2018. 60 JEE Advanced qualifiers out of top 100 ranks joined IIT Bombay.
Continuing the trend, top 100 rank holders of JEE Advanced 2018 are seeking admission in IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IIT Madras. The first round seat allotment of JoSAA was published on June 27, 2018. Among the various engineering courses, IIT Bombay’s Computer Science course turned out to be the most popular course among the top rankers of JEE Advanced 2018. Even the girl students who have 14% seats under supernumerary quota preferred the computer science course.
In the JoSAA first round seat allotment, 60 students among the top 100 rankers secured admission in engineering courses offered by IIT Bombay. The closing rank of computer science course under general category was AIR 59, while the closing rank for girls was 173. Some of the students among the top 100 ranks opted for Electrical Engineering course as well.
