One of the oldest and compressive public research universities of Canada, the University of Windsor is home to students from over 85 countries. It was founded in 1857 as Assumption College andrenamed the Assumption University of Windsor in 1956 which was finally changed to the University of Windsor in 1963. The University of Windsor is one of the outstanding universities in the world in terms of research, teaching, learning and discovery. Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The university campus is located in Windsor, Ontario in Canada, next to the busiest international border crossing of North America. It also has a downtown campus in heritage buildings in the city centre and the School of Social Work in the former Windsor Star building. The undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Windsor are offered under nine faculties namely Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Law, Education, Nursing, Engineering, Business, Graduate Studies, Human Kinetics and Science. International students have options to choose from 190 undergraduate programs, 65 graduate programs and six professional programsthatare recognised worldwide.

The University received The American Concrete Institute (ACI) Award for University Student Activities for 2015. It is 145,000+ alumni strong notable alumni including Drew Dilkens - Mayor of Windsor, Ontario, Actor - Colm Feore, Douglas Fregin - Co-founder of BlackBerry Limited, Author - Thomas Moore, and many more. The University of Windsor further boasts 17 athletic teams that compete for championships at the provincial and national levels.
