The University of Hertfordshire (UOH), a public university in Hertfordshire, was founded in 1952 as Technical College in Hatfield and gained its university status in 1992. With the foundation of the Hatfield Technical College in 1948, the UOH became one of the 25 Colleges of Technology in the UK. UOH is a member of University Alliance, Universities UK and European University Association. It is an internationally recognised university, continuously ranked among the top 1000 universities in the world. The QS World University Ranking of the University of Hertfordshire ranges between 801-1000. As per Rookies Awards 2019, put together with the help of 120 influential industry experts, the University of Hertfordshire was recognised as the best in the world for Console and PC - Production Excellence, while being recognised as the second best in the UK for Visual Effects Schools, third best for Immersive Media - Game Design and Development for Production Excellence and 5th best in the UK for 2D Animation Schools for Production Excellence.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The University of Hertfordshire has two campuses located in College Lane and de Havilland.  Both campuses provide facilities and amenities required for student’s satisfaction. The campus is surrounded by lush green areas, established with well-maintained accommodation facilities as well. Wifi connection, food outlets, conference halls, sports facilities, large lecture theatres, seminar rooms, and smart lecture space are some of the facilities offered on campus. Courses at the University of Hertfordshire are taught at Nine Schools: Hertfordshire Business School, School of Education, Creative Arts, Health and Social Work, Humanities, Hertfordshire Law School, Life and Medical Sciences, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science and Foundation courses. All the nine schools of UOH provide state of art facilities and conduct unique engagement programmes for students to achieve academic excellence.

Each course offered at UOH is designed to meet the requirements of employers.
