CG TET 2026 is to be conducted on February 1, 2026. The official notification has been released on the website, and the application form is to be filled out from November 13 to December 8, 2025.

The official notification regarding the entrance exam is now available on the official website of Chhattisgarh Vyapam. There is also a correction window available for those who have made any mistake in the application from which will be open from December 9 to 11, 2025. The exam will be conducted in two shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. for TET 1 and 2, respectively. There are around 20 exam centres recognized in the Chhattisgarh degree where the exam will take place. The admit card will be uploaded on the official website on January 23, 2026.
Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test, also known as CG TET, determines the eligibility of qualified B.Ed/ D.EI.Ed/ B.EI.Ed candidates for recruiting teachers in government and private schools across the Chhattisgarh state. CG TET 2026 is divided into two parts: Paper I & Paper II. The board has decided that 60%, or 90 out of 150, must be achieved to qualify for the general category. The cut-off marks for SC/ ST are 40%, or 60 marks, while the minimum qualifying marks for OBC/PwD are 50%, or 75 marks. CG TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
CG TET is conducted separately for two different classes. You can check out the eligibility criteria for both classes below:
(1) For teaching in classes one to five-
(a) Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Or
Senior Secondary with at least 45 % marks (or its equivalent) and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation 2002
Or
Senior Secondary with at least 50 % marks (or its equivalent) and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Or
Graduated and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
(2) For teaching in classes six to eight
(a) Graduation and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or Two-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) passed or has been admitted and is pursuing.
Or
Graduation with at least 45% marks and having passed one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or Two year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) has been admitted and is pursuing or has passed in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Or
Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 % marks and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and passed or has been admitted and is pursuing a four-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a one-year Bachelor's in Education, B.Ed. (Special Education) or a two-year Bachelor's in Education, B.Ed. (Special Education) passed or has been admitted and is pursuing.
CG TET 2026 Exam Pattern

The duration of the examination will be 1 ½ hours. The paper will consist of 150 questions for 150 marks.

CG TET 2026 Exam Syllabus
The CG TET 2026 exam syllabus is prescribed by the CG Vyapam and differs for Paper 1 and Paper 2. There are many subjects, such as language papers, environmental studies and others. The CG TET Paper 1 syllabus comprises topics from:

CG TET 2026 Application Fee
Candidates can pay the CG TET application fee in both online and offline modes. However, the CG TET application fee in an offline mode has to be paid within a specific period. Also, the CG TET application fee for the general and reserved categories is different. More details are given below:
