Understanding IBSAT Cutoffs 2025
IBSAT does not officially declare a fixed cutoff score. Instead, IBS follows a profile-based and campus-specific shortlisting process. The cutoff is dynamic and depends on several factors, such as:
How to perform in the IBSAT exam
What is your preferred campus?
Your academic profile and background
How have you performed in selection rounds?
How many students have filled out the form this year?
Because of this, it is better to categorise IBSAT cutoffs as score ranges rather than fixed numbers.

Factors that Influence IBSAT Cutoffs 2025
The IBSAT 2025 cutoffs are strictly not the outcome of the scores only. IBS conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the candidates, and the test scores are just one part of the whole profile.
Number of Test Takers
The rising number of test takers for IBSAT means tougher competition and a possible increase in cutoffs.
Campus Preference
Higher scores are a must for the top campuses like Hyderabad and Bangalore, as they offer only a few seats but have a great number of aspirants.
Work Experience
Though it is not compulsory, work experience might be a bonus when the candidate is present at the interview stage.

IBS Selection Process After IBSAT 2025
The IBS has designed a multi-stage evaluation system to check the candidates who are beyond test scores only.
Step 1: Declaration of IBSAT Scorecard and Shortlisting of Selected Candidates
If your score is in the expected cutoff range, then you will be on the shortlisted list for the next IBS exam rounds. You will get an invitation letter for the further rounds.
Step 2: Group Discussion Round
In this round, you need to present your views on the allotted topic. Among the key factors that are assessed are:
Clarity in your thoughts
Leadership skills and teamwork
Ability to communicate well
Awareness of current issues
Topics of discussion are typically taken from current events, business trends, or abstract ideas. Active participation with logical arguments is more important.
Step 3: Personal Interview Round (PI)
PI is the most crucial stage in the IBS selection procedure. The panel of interviewers judges:
Academic comprehension
Career aspirations and clarity for the future
Assertiveness and sincerity
A calm and honest approach works best in this round.
Step 4: Merit List and College Offer Letter
The merit list will be the last step taken by IBS, and it will be based on academic qualifications and consistency, work experience, IBSAT marks, GD, and PI performance.
In case you are one of the lucky ones who gets selected for the merit list, then a provisional admission offer for the particular IBS campus will be sent to you.
IBSAT cutoffs are not fixed and vary from one IBS campus to another. The best campuses, like the IBS Hyderabad campus, require higher scores. Besides these, other IBS campuses also have great learning opportunities, but with relatively lower cutoffs. If you plan to be a part of IBS, you must excel in each of the rounds.
