The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education conducts the IBSAT entrance test. It is an aptitude test conducted in online mode for those looking to get into MBA/PhD programmes offered by IBS Hyderabad, the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, MBA offered by IBS Dehradun, the ICFAI University, Dehradun and IBS Jaipur, the ICFAI University, Jaipur and PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) offered at IBS Ahmedabad,
IBS Bengaluru,IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune.
Students should note that IBSAT 2020 will be conducted on December 26 and 27, 2020 and it will be a proctored online test. Candidates can take IBSAT 2020 from home.
The main aim of conducting IBSAT is to analyse the applicants’ ability in data interpretation, quantitative techniques, vocabulary, data adequacy, reading comprehension and analytical reasoning required to pursue MBA or PhD programmes at all the nine IBS campuses.
The conducting body, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956, is a Deemed to be University. A Computer-Based Test, IBSAT paper comprises of 140 questions in MCQ format. The duration of the IBSAT entrance exam is 120 minutes, which is 2 hours.
IBSAT application forms are made available to the candidates in the form of IBSAT bulletin which can be purchased online for INR 1800/-. The application forms for IBSAT are accepted of only those candidates who fulfil the minimum IBSAT eligibility criteria. Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) aspirants who will apply for IBSAT can only secure a seat at either of the IBS Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Pune and Mumbai campuses.
From 2018 onwards, scores of GMAT / CAT / NMAT by GMAC are accepted instead of IBSAT 2020. For PhD, IBS Alumni, M.Phil Degree holders and UGC NET qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for IBSAT 2020.
