Is IIIT Kota government or private?
IIIT Kota is a cooperative enterprise of the Government of Rajasthan and the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) manner. IIIT Kota is mentored by the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT Jaipur).
What is the minimum percentile required for participating in the JoSAA counselling process?
Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria: Must have qualified and secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination and the aggregate marks for the SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
How to check the JoSAA seat allotment result?
JoSAA is in charge of releasing the seat matrix for the participating colleges on its official website, josaa.nic.in. This JoSSA matrix displays the available seats for each B. Tech course across the NITs, GFTIs, IIITs and IITs. Admission into these institutes is determined by the JEE Main entrance exam scores.
What is the fee of the JoSAA Counselling process?
The partial JoSAA admission fee is set at INR 20,000 for the SC/ST category students and Rs 40,000 for the General, OBC, and EWS category students.
How many choices can be filled in the JoSAA Counselling process?
In the JoSAA choice filling process, candidates are allowed to enter and arrange their choices of institutes and colleges according to their wish to be admitted to. Candidates are suggested to fill as many choices as possible in order of their preference to increase their chances of seat allotment in JoSAA.
What if no seat is allotted in CSAB?
In case, a new seat is not allotted to a candidate in the CSAB-Special round, then the JoSAA seat will be retained with the candidates.
Does JoSAA automatically lock choices?
If one does not lock their choices, the last saved choices will be locked automatically upon reaching the deadline for the JoSAA choice filling. The automatically locked choice list will be considered for allocating a seat during the JoSAA counselling process.
What JEE Main exam rank is required for securing admission into the IIITs?
The JEE Main exam rank required for securing admission into an Indian Institute of InformationTechnology (IIIT) depends upon the institute, course, and the category of the candidate. The higher the JEE Main rank, the greater the chance of securing admission into the IIITs.
Does IIIT come under the JoSAA counselling process?
Yes. JoSAA manages the admissions process for providing admissions across the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
How can I qualify for IIIT Kota?
A candidate must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% in their overall grade in Physics and Mathematics to be eligible for the IIIT Kota BTech programme.
