The TNEA round 1 choice filling process will start from July 14-16, 2025. The authorities will release the tentative allotment on July 17, 2025. The tentative allotment confirmation should be done between July 17-18, 2025. The round 1 TNEA choice filling will be done for those who have a rank between 1 to 39145, and aggregate marks between 200-179. TNEA Eligible Ranks

The Directorate of Technical Education has released the eligible rank list along with the official TNEA counselling schedule. The TNEA round 1 eligible rank is 1 to 39145, the aggregate marks for the round 1 should be between 200 to 179. Those who are in the rank range or the aggregate marks range can complete the choice filling for round 1 till the stipulated deadline, and the authorities will release the tentative allotment after that.

TNEA Counselling Process 2025

The TNEA counselling 2025 is conducted in multiple stages. You must know the step-by-step process for the TNEA counselling process. In the following section, we have provided the detailed TNEA counselling process 2025:

Registration and Certificate Verification

The first step to participate in the TNEA counselling process 2025 is registration. The TNEA 2025 counselling schedule and registration dates have been released. You can register for the TNEA counselling process from May 7 to June 6, 2025. The last date to upload the TNEA required documents is June 9, 2025. Following the document uploading, the authorities will conduct the document verification process from June 10 to 20, 2025. You are required to apply in online mode to participate in the TNEA counselling. If registration gets completed successfully, you must take part in the document verification process with the necessary documents.

Publication of Rank List

The TNEA rank list 2025 is prepared based upon the marks secured by the students in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their senior secondary exam. Candidates’ ranks in the TNEA rank list 2025 determines their chances of admission into the TNEA participating colleges. The TNEA 2025 rank list will be released on June 27, 2025.

TNEA Choice Filling 2025

Generally, you are provided 3 days for the TNEA choice filling process of TNEA, within which you are required to fill in your preferred choices of colleges and branches. DoTE will release TNEA choice filling date 2025 soon. You must order your choices according to the priority of your preferences. There is no limit on the number of choices that you can fill. After that, certification verification is done.

Seat Allotment

You are allotted seats across the B.E/ B.Tech colleges of Tamil Nadu based upon the choices filled and your rank in the TNEA rank list 2025. The TNEA seat allotment result comprises information such as name of the student, rank, overall/ community rank, college name and branch name.

Confirmation of Allotment

During the seat allotment process, If you are allotted a seat, then you will be provided with options related to the confirmation of seat. You must confirm your seat within 2 days from the date of allotment failing which you will be taken to the subsequent round.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

Reporting is the final stage in the TNEA counselling process 2025. If you have accepted your allotted seats must download the seat allotment order and report to the allotted institute within 7 days with the necessary documents and complete your admission process by paying the required fees.
