The online registration process for TNEA 2023 commenced on May 5, 2023, and was closed on June 4, 2023. TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is a centralized counselling process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Tamil Nadu for admission in B.E/ B.Tech courses offered in various government and private engineering colleges across the state. Steps to Fill TNEA Application Form 2023
The step-by-step instructions to fill out the application form for TNEA could be checked below -
Step 1 - Registration
The first step in the registration process for TNEA is online registration. The candidates will have to visit the official website of TNEA, i.e., www.tneaonline.org to complete the registration. After opening the website, click on ‘New User Registration’.
Details to be Filled for New User Registration
The following details have to be filled in for the New User Registration -
Name of the Candidate (To be entered as per Class 10 Mark Sheet) | Class 12 Registration Number |

Mobile Number | Year in which the candidate has passed Class 12 |
E-Mail ID | Login ID (Automatically Created) - The E-Mail ID of the Candidates will be the Login ID |

After submitting all the details, you will have to click on ‘Submit’.
Step 2 - Generation of OTP
After submitting all the details mentioned above, the candidates will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS on their mobile, and the candidates will also receive an e-mail. Only after entering the OTP, the details of the candidates will be confirmed.
Step 3 - Login & Form Filling
The candidates will have to log in on the TNEA website by using their Login ID (E-Mail) and Password. The registration form for TNEA will be displayed on the screen. The candidates will have to enter all the details carefully.

Step 4 - Application Fee Payment
The next step in the application process for TNEA is registration fee payment. After completing step 3, the candidates will see three options -
- Payment Gateway (IOB)
- Payment Gateway (Indian Bank)
- Payment Gateway (Option 3 - Skip)
Candidates choosing anyone among the first two options will have to pay the application fee digitally, u.e., by using a credit card/ debit card/ internet banking facility. Candidates choosing Option 3 will have to pay the registration fee at the Facilitation Centre. The candidates will receive a confirmation message after paying the registration fee.
Step 5 - Filling Scholarship Information
Candidates who wish to avail of various scholarship schemes through TNEA will have to fill his/ her preference. The candidates will have to fill the following details -

Stage 9 - Edit/ Save Application
As the candidates have already entered all the details in the application, they can edit the same if any changes are required. If all the information is correct, the candidates can click on ‘Submit Application'. The candidates will receive a confirmation pop-up. Click on ‘OK’.
Stage 10 - Printout of Application Form
Finally, the candidates can take the printout of the application form. The candidates must note that the printout of the application form should be submitted at the Facilitation Centre (TFC) along with all the relevant documents.
