JEE Advanced 2018 Marking Scheme for Numerical Questions:

  • In case the answer is the integer, let's say 12 (Twelve), all answers entered as 12, 12.00 or 12.0 will be considered correct. Accordingly, all answers typed in the range of 11.99 to 12.01 will be considered correct.
  • If an answer 12.5 (Twelve-point-five) exact figure, answers entered as 12.5 or 12.50 will be considered correct. Answers entered within the range of 12.49 to 12.51 will be correct in this case.
  • If an answer to a question is 12.378888888..., all answers typed within a specific range of 12.37 to 12.38 will be correct (this range is an example and the rule will be applied according to the question). In this case, both answers 12.37 and 12.38 will be correct.

The organizing committee has also released the master question paper for JEE advanced paper 1 and paper 2. According to the JEE Advanced paper analysis, the question papers this year were slightly difficult as compared to previous years. Experts have also reported that paper 2 was lengthier than paper 1.
