Maximum Delhi University Applications from Delhi and Nearby States
- Over 2.7 lakh students have registered for Delhi University and first cut-off list will be out on June 19, 2018.
- DU has received the maximum number of applications from Delhi and neighbouring states.
The University of Delhi has received a maximum number of applications for UG courses from aspirants in Delhi and nearby states. The online registration process for UG course at DU was concluded on June 07, 2018. According to DU reports, 2,78,544 applicants have complete the registration process for entrance-based and merit-based courses and have paid the registration fees.
In 2017, 2.2 lakh candidates had registered for DU and had paid the fee. The university has seen a rise of approximately 50,000 applicants this year during the registration process. Out of the total candidates who have registered, 1,44,248 are men, 1,34,297 women and 29 have registered under other applicants.
Delhi University is a central varsity and students from all parts of the country register for admissions every year. Majority of the aspirants are from Delhi and nearby states and the same trend has been witnessed over the years. DU will release the first cut-off list of UG courses on June 19, 2018.

The DU admission process based on the first cut-off list will begin on June 19, 2018, and will continue until June 21, 2018. According to sources, the varsity may announce only five cut-offs this year and conduct a centralised counselling process for the remaining seats. This move will help the varsity to complete the admission process by the end of July.

Since a large number of students have scored more than 95% of marks in CBSE Class 12 results, DU cut-offs for various courses might witness an increase from 0.25 to 1% this year. So far, at least 80% of students from CBSE board have registered for UG courses.
