NEET Study Material Yet to Reach Government Training Centres in Tamil Nadu

NEET aspirants at government training centres in Tamil Nadu are desperately waiting for NEET study material, model question papers and handbook. On one hand, the private coaching centres across the state are busy in covering up the syllabus and conducting mock tests for students.

On the other hand, various government schools across the state are yet to receive the NEET study material. However, some of the government NEET training centres in Tamil Nadu are conducting mock tests for the students. NEET model question paper and the mock test will give an idea of NEET Exam Pattern.

The issue has been most prevalent in Chennai. Many state-run coaching centres lack enough teaching and learning resources pertaining to NEET. Students in these coaching centres have no other option except to purchase the study material from private sellers. Students in government coaching centres are forced to spend Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 to buy study material.

A Class 12 student from a government school expressed that students get only two hours to prepare for NEET every day. Therefore, if the state government releases study material soon, it will help students to devote more time for NEET preparation.

While the state government is trying to popularise government coaching centres for NEET exam, the private coaching centres or private schools have taken the advantage of the current demand for NEET coaching in Tamil Nadu. Many private schools or coaching institutes have been collection Rs. 6 lakh for a year in the name of long-term NEET coaching. Few private schools have introduced NEET syllabus as an extra subject from Class VIII.
