IIM Jammu admission for MBA programme is based on CAT scores. To be admitted, applicants have to score over and above IIM Jammu cut off list for MBA programme. Currently, admission process for the EMBA and PhD programmes is ongoing. IIM Jammu course admissions are done based on entrance exam results, group discussions and personal interviews. Passing the CAT exam is a requirement for applicants to IIM Jammu MBA programme. Further, for IIM Jammu PhD admission, the scores of GATE/UGC NET/GMAT/GRE/CAT/UGC-JRF are considered.

IIM Jammu placements for MBA Batch of 2021-23, observed participation from reputed companies and organisations such as Vedanta, ICICI Bank, Zycus, EY, etc. IIM Jammu highest package offered was Rs 64 LPA. A total of 126 companies, along with 59 new recruiters hired students. 246 offers were made and 24 students received multiple offers. The median package offered was Rs 15.25 LPA and IIM Jammu average package was Rs 16.50 LPA.

IIM Jammu courses include a flagship two-year-long MBA programme. It offers a total of 5 courses at the postgraduate and doctoral levels which are MBA, MBA in Hospital Administration and Healthcare Management, Executive MBA, IPM, and, PhD. Apart from this, a dual-degree course is also offered at the institute. The IIM Jammu fees are Rs 6,90,000 for MBA. 

IIM Jammu is the youngest and 20th institute added to Indian Institutes of Management list. was established in 2016 by the Government of India. The institute's old campus was located in Jammu, Canal Road. The newly inaugurated, 200-acre campus is in Jagati. The new IIM Jammu campus is located 14 Km away from Jammu. IIM Jammu’s 2026 MBA admission uses CAT 2025 scores, CAP interviews, and a composite score (55% CAT, 25% profile, 20% PI/WAT). Expected cutoffs: 95 (general), 85 (OBC), 75 (SC), 65 (ST). Shortlisting begins January 2026; apply via CAP portal. Offers by April 2026.

• IIM Jammu’s full-time research scholars get fellowships provided by the college. The fellowship covers all academic expenses like tuition fees, computer, library, placement and alumni fees and living expenses which included boarding and lodging.
• IIM provides Rs 35000  per month for first and second-year students.
