IIM Rohtak courses include the flagship programme PGP/ MBA programme. It is a 2-year full-time residential programme. The unique part about the MBA programme is that it is open to students from any discipline, including the arts, sciences, and commerce. The IIM Rohtak fees are Rs 6,00,000 per annum. There are 28 full-time faculty members employed by the institution. From prestigious institutions like BITS Pilani, IIM Lucknow, and IIT Kharagpur, more than 80% of the faculty members hold PhD degrees. IIM Rohtak faculty members have extensive backgrounds in the industry.

IIM Rohtak course admissions are done on the basis of the entrance exam scores. The entrance exam accepted for admission is CAT. The institute conducts personal interviews with the shortlisted candidates in the second and last rounds. Finally, a merit list is made public based on factors like CAT scores, PI results, gender diversity in the classroom, etc. Candidates seeking IIM Rohtak MBA admission have to pass the CAT exam. They will then have to meet the IIM Rohtak cut off to secure admission. 

To promote academic cooperation and student exchange programs, IIM Rohtak has partnered with California State University, Fullerton (USA), Indiana University's Kelle School of Business (USA), and Singapore Management University (SMU).

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak has been given "Institute of National Importance" status by the MHRD and is one of the six Baby IIMs. IIM Rohtak is recognized by the esteemed Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a well-regarded international accrediting agency (AACSB). IIM Rohtak was placed in the 12 position on the NIRF Ranking 2024 list of best management institutes in India. 

The IIM Rohtak placements for PGP batch 2025 observed participation from reputed companies like Adobe, Deloitte, IBM, Accenture, etc. More than 200 recruiters took part, of which 70 were from new organisations. The IIM Rohtak average package offered to students at IIM Rohtak was 18.73 LPA. The median package was 17 LPA. The IIM Rohtak highest package offered is 36 LPA It maintained a 100% placement as well.

• IIM, Rohtak provides a scholarship for Doctoral Program (DPM). Students are given Rs 30000/- for the first two years and Rs 35000 /- after the second year.
• A merit scholarship of Rs 10000/- and Rs 15000/- per month is also provided for third and fourth-year students based on their performance.
• A contingency grant of Rs 185000/- will be distributed across the four years program.
• Financial support for conferences/academic exchange will be provided to the participants for attending national and international conferences.

To secure admission at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, candidates have to provide valid entrance exam scores. The national-level entrance test accepted for admission is the Common Admission Test (CAT) and GATE. GATE exam for this year has already been conducted while CAT is scheduled for November 2025.

Academic and Research Collaboration between II M Rohtak and California State University, Fullerton, USA :

The Indian Institute of Management Rohtak and the California State University at Fullerton signed an agreement in March 2013 to cooperate and work together in achieving the academic and organizational goals of the two institutions. In pursuit of these goals, I I M Rohtak and the California State University will promote academic exchange and cooperation between the two parties and facilitate exchange of faculty members, faculty research workshops, conferences, joint research/project guidance and exchange of students. They will offer specially designed programs of study, plan joint summer projects that involve academic programmes of practical value to postgraduate students, encourage cultural exchanges and set-up two sister Centers of Excellence (one at each institution) in due course of time. The Centers will help advance Indo-US academics and businesses. They will also pursue other mutually advantageous undertakings.

Academic and Research Collaboration betweenIIM Rohtak and Singapore Management University (SMU) :

It's a historic moment on April 5, 2013 when IIM  Rohtak and Singapore Management University came together in long term relationship. Professor Eerie P Rameshan, Former Director, IIM Rohtak and SMU's Deputy President and Provost, Professor Rajendra K Srivastava, signed the agreement on that landmark occasion in the presence of SMU's President. Professor Arnoud De Meyer.  
SMU and IIM Rohtak will work together in achieving the academic and organisational goals of the two institutions. In this regard, they will promote academic exchanges and co-operation in such areas as exchange of faculty members, joint conferences, faculty research workshops and symposiums, as well as exchange of students. 
They will also encourage cultural exchanges between their two institutions. Equally importantly, SMU and IIM Rohtak will identify and align existing centres or departments or other arms at each institution which share common interests or areas of excellence so as to help advance Indo-Singapore academics and businesses under the collaborative umbrella contemplated in the agreemen

• Infusion is the annual cultural, management and sports fest of IIM, Rohtak. It is a two-day event and it comprises inter-college case study competitions, mock stock, quizzes and various sports and cultural events.
• IIM Rohtak organises a mini-marathon every year to raise awareness about gender equality.
• IIM Rohtak has also started having its own TEDx conference.
