August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
August 25, 2025The GATE 2026 registration has been postponed to August 28, 2025. Regular applications close on September 28, with late submissions accepted until October 9. Exams will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, and results on March 19.
August 06, 2025The GATE 2026 schedule is now available on gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Registration for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25 and will close on September 25 without a late fee, and on October 6 with a late fee. The exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. About IIM Trichy
Indian Institute of Management Trichy is a government-based institute situated in Tiruchirappalli. IIM Trichy was established in the year 2011 and was set up by the Ministry of Education and the Government of India. IIM Trichy campus is spread over 175 acres of land on the Trichy-Pudukottai highway, about 11 km from Tiruchirappalli International Airport. IIM Trichy facilities include a learning research centre, eight hostels, computing resources, ICT infrastructure, audio video solutions, sport facilities, a finance laboratory, and a behavioural laboratory. IIM Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) secured the 27th position in the NIRF 2024 rankings for management institutions.
IIM Trichy courses list includes five courses namely, PGPM, PGPM HR, DPM, EDPM, and PGPBM. IIM Trichy admissions for all the courses are done on the basis of entrance exams. CAT score is considered for admission in IIM Trichy PGPM course. Similarly, for admission in PGPM HR and PGPBM course, CAT and GMAT score is considered. For IIM Trichy admissions to DPM and EDPM, candidates have to appear for CAT/GATE/GMAT/GRE/UGC-JRF and get valid scores.

IIM Trichy courses offers three postgraduate management programmes and two fellowship programmes for doctorate and research studies. Two of these courses at IIM Trichy were especially, created to serve working executives. The IIM Trichy admission process is different from one course to another. The PGPM admission process at IIM Trichy begins after the announcement of CAT results. On the other hand, IIM Trichy conducts the admission process for PGPBM programmes in a separate manner and the admission guidelines for the same are different. IIM Trichy Admission Process 2025
To start with the IIM Trichy admission process, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria and meet the cutoff requirement set for the respective courses. Admission to IIM Trichy courses is done at stages. Prominently, there are three broad stages of the IIM Tiruchirapalli admission process. They are:

IIM Tiruchirapalli hostel rooms are branched into the left and right wings with a passage between the common room on one side and the lift on the other. There are separate hostels for men and women. There are specialised rooms and attached bathrooms on the ground floor for differently abled students. Some of the hostel facilities are LAN connections, mess, canteen, night canteen, sandwich bar, along with a departmental store nearby. There are two common washroom wings on each floor. The single occupancy rooms are furnished with AC, white boards, a study area, and a private balcony overlooking an artificial canal.

The last date to apply for FPM admissions at IIM Trichy is over now. However, we can tell you about the selection process so that you can plan accordingly for the next year. The selection process for PhD admissions at IIM Trichy is as follows
Stage 1- Candidates will have to submit the application form and all relevant documents such as academic records, certificates, qualifying exam scores, application fees etc. All of this will be evaluated and then on the basis of it, a shortlist will be prepared. Those who qualify will be shortlisted for the next stage.
Stage 2- In this stage, the candidate will have to visit IIM T campus and this process usually takes place in March. In this stage, a research aptitude exam and an area interview will take place. Research Aptitude exam is a written exam which is conducted for testing the candidate's aptitude in a particular specialisation. The candidates who clear the written test will have to appear for a personal interview with members who are experts in their chosen area of specialisation.
Stage 3- This is the last stage of the admission process in which the candidates who were shortlisted during stage 2 will have to appear for a personal interview round with the Fellow Program Committee. Those who clear this round will be given an offer of admission for FPM at IIM Trichy.
