What is LRDI in Common Admission Test (CAT)?

Dear Student,

LRDI or Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning is one of the three sections of the CAT exam. Other two sections are Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Quantitative Ability (QA). The LRDI section of CAT will cover questions from Combination of Graphs, Caselet, Data Sufficiency, Matching Puzzles, Proposition, Blood Relations, Binary Logic, Pie Chart, Tables and other topics related to logical reasoning and data interpretation. 

You can refer to the previous years’ question paper of CAT to know what type of questions will be asked in this section. Besides this, the exam pattern will also help you understand the marking scheme of LRDI section of CAT. Some of the books recommended for LRDI section are Arun Sharma's How to Prepare for Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning for CAT and Nishit K. Sinha's Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation for the CAT NCERT books. You can also refer to separate books for data interpretation and logical reasoning.
