JEE Mains 2025 Day 5 Shift 1 (29 January) Recap
The JEE Main 2025 Day 5 Shift 1, held on January 29 last year, had a moderate question paper for all three subjects. The students found the Mathematics paper to be lengthy and a bit difficult. The Chemistry paper was easy as compared to the Physics paper. The Physics questions asked were mostly application-based. Find below some of the previous year’s questions and answers.
Subject | Questions | Answers |
Physics | The velocity of a particle moving on a straight line varies with time as v=At2 Bt/C+ t1 where A, B, and C are constants. Find the dimension of ABC. | L2 T-3 |
A pendulum of mass m/2 is released from a given situation. Find the speed of another pendulum after the collision. (e=1) | 2/3 √gl
A river is flowing with speed 9km/hr. Boat is going downstream-speed of boat in still water is 27km/hr. A person in boat throws a ball upwards with speed 10 m/s. Find range of the ball as seen by an observer at bank of river. | 20 m
Chemistry | 0.41 g of BaSO4 is obtained from 0.2 g of organic compound in Carius method. What is the percentage of sulphur present in organic compound? | 28% |
Chromite ore + Na2CO3 + O2 → insoluble product containing Fe. Calculate the molar mass of insoluble product formed. (Given: Molar mass of Cr = 52 g/mol, Na = 23 g/mol, Fe = 56 g/mol, 0 = 16 g/mol) | 160
Find the order of the reaction A+B → F if the mechanism of the reaction is given below: Step 1: A + B → D (slow) Step 2: D→C + E (fast) Step 3: C+E → F (fast) | 2
Mathematics | Find I = 80 0∫π/2 [(sinx + cosx) / (9sinx + 16cosx)]dx | (80/337) [(25π/2) + 7 ln(9/16)] |
The minimum value of n for which the number of integer terms in the binomial expansion of (71/3 + 111/2) is 183, is | 2184
If cos-1x = π + sin-1x + sin-1(2x - 1), then find the sum of all values of x. | 0 |
To sum it up, JEE Main 28 January 2026 Shift 1 question paper will have a mix of easy, moderate, and a few challenging questions across all three subjects. Students who maintained strong fundamentals and practised previous years’ papers will find the paper doable. Using the unofficial question papers discussed above, compute your answers and predict exam scores.
