Step 1: Registration for the NMAT by GMAC Exam 2025
- Go to the official website of NMAT at nmat.org .
- Enter your Name, Email ID, and Mobile Number to register for the NMAT exam.
- After this, you must provide the following details like:
- Personal Information/ Identity details like Title, First Name, Middle Name & Last Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Age; Category
- Nationality
- Native Language
- Contact Information
- Education/ Work Experience
- School Preference
- Pay the application fee to complete the NMAT registration process.
- Your NMAT by GMAC registration number will be generated and you must note it down since it will be required for filling out the NMIMS application form.
Step 2: Registration for NMIMS MBA 2025 Admission
- Visit the official website of NMIMS Mumbai @ nmims.edu .
- Enter your NMAT registration number and Password.
- Fill out the NMIMS MBA application form 2025 with the following details:

4. Next, you are required to upload the following documents:

5. Pay the NMIMS application fee through online mode before the date on which your NMAT exam is scheduled. The application fee is INR 2800 and it cannot be refunded.
Step 3: Selection of Programme Preferences
While filling out the application form, it is mandatory for you to select a minimum of five NMIMS programmes of your preference including campus and specialization. After shortlisting, the programme preferences will be finalized.
Step 4: Take the NMAT Exam
- Appear for the NMAT by GMAC exam on the scheduled date.
- For NMIMS shortlisting, only the score obtained after the first NMAT attempt will be taken into consideration.
Step 5: Shortlisting of Candidates for Further Rounds
The NMAT overall and sectional cut-offs will determine whether you are shortlisted for the subsequent rounds. If you are eligible to participate in the next rounds, you will be invited to attend the further selection process conducted in-person at NMIMS Mumbai
Step 6: Subsequent Selection Rounds
After the NMAT exam is successfully completed, the further selection rounds may include the following:

- Psychometric Test and/or Written Aptitude Test (WAT)
- Personal Interview (PI)
Step 7: Release of the Final Merit List
The final composite score will be obtained depending on the following criteria after which the final merit list will be released:
- NMAT by GMAC: 20%
- Competency Assessment: 50%
- Personal Interview: 10%
- Work Experience of at least more than 1 year: 10%
- Past Academic Performance (HSC + Graduation): 10%
The final admission offers will be made based on the rank obtained by the candidates and program preferences entered by them.
Step 8: Payment of Admission Fee & Course Fee
In order to confirm NMIMS admission, it is compulsory for individuals receiving the final admission offers to pay the initial installment of fees. For all admissions, the fee is fixed at INR 1,200. The starting amount stands at INR 10,000. For each subject attempt, the exam fee is INR 800, for each exam attempt, the project fee is INR 1,500. You have the privilege to pay either the annual fee of INR 1,05,000 or INR 55,000 per semester. The payment must be made online through Demand Draft in favour of ‘SVKM’s NMIMS’ payable at Mumbai.

If you are shortlisted for the PI round, you are required to furnish certain original documents for verification.
