About NMAT 2020 (Result Out)

NMAT 2020 result has been announced on February 11, 2021. Candidates received an email of their scores which can be downloaded. NMAT 2020 Additional Phase ended on February 8, 2021. Candidates who could not appear for NMAT 2020 in the initial exam dates appeared for the exam in the additional phase. The additional phase of NMAT 2021 began on February 2 and was conducted in a 1-week exam window. Candidates got their results for the NMAT 2020 additional phase within 48 hours of appearing for the exam. The registration window for the additional phase of NMAT 2020 was closed on January 31, 2021. GMAC opened the additional registrations for the exam on January 18, 2021.

Candidates who registered during this period appeared for the additional window exam from February 2 to February 8, 2021. GMAC began conducting NMAT 2020 from November 4, 2020, and it was conducted on multiple dates till January 30, 2021. Candidates could schedule their exam for any of the available dates within the given window. A retake of the test could also be scheduled within the same period.

Candidates who are appearing for this year's NMAT will have to take special precaution against COVID-19 when at the test centre. They must carefully go through the exam-day instructions and COVID-19 guidelines for NMAT 2020 to ensure the safety of test-takers and invigilators. NMAT 2020 registrations began from September 14, 2020, onwards and the last date to apply without late fee was November 20, 2020. The late registration process ended on November 30, 2020. Those who applied so far had to pay an application fee of INR 2000 plus GST. The late fee is INR 2,500. Candidates need to take a look at the NMAT 2020 eligibility criteria before they fill up the application form for the same. NMAT 2020 application form can be filled online with an application fee. NMAT has an 88-day long testing window, two retake attempts and around 66 testing centres across 52 cities.

NMAT by GMAC is a popular management entrance examination, which is organised and conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) to offer admission in various management courses. Candidates who clear NMAT by GMAC exam are not only eligible for admission at NMIMS but also 30 B-Schools in India that consider NMAT by GMAC score for admission to the postgraduate management courses. On the other hand, NMAT by GMAC score is accepted by top B-Schools across 11 countries. The computer-based test is held in a 75-day long window from October to December. Test takers are permitted to appear for 3 retakes of NMAT by GMAC. From this academic year, NMAT scores will be valid for MBA courses abroad also.

What is NMAT Entrance Test?

NMAT is a national-level computer-based entrance examination which is conducted by GMAC. The main aim of the NMAT is to provide aspiring candidates with the scope of admissions to the courses offered by leading MBA colleges in India such as VIT Vellore, SPJIMR Mumbai (PGMPW), XIM Bhubaneswar, NMIMS Mumbai and many more. NMAT is conducted once in a year, and the candidates aspiring to appear in it can apply for the examination from July till October. The entrance is conducted over a period of 75 days. Aspirants also get a scope to choose their suitable date, time and venue to appear in the examination.
