IIM is the ultimate of every management student. IIM Shillong, the Institute is currently functioning from a temporary campus in the Mayurbhanj Complex. A total number of seats for the Post-Graduation Program for IIM Shillong are 120. Like other IIM’s, the aspirant have to go through a Common Admission Test to be a part of any IIM. Every candidate has to go through a Selection Process which is a two-step process. In the first step, the candidate has to fall in the list of selected candidates who appeared in CAT. The next step is personal Interview. The applicants will be shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) round and the final merit list will be prepared. Once the list is prepared, the aspirant can take admission on the basis of merit list. Minimum Score for CAT 2015 are: Category SSC HSC Graduation DA 50 50 45 SC 55 55 50 ST 50 50 45 OT 65 65 60 The candidates will be divided as per to the categories they are falling in. Later they will be further segregated in various sub-groups based on their academic scoring in Bachelor’s degree. Further, The candidates under various group awarded the ranks in decreasing order based on their CAT overall percentage and as a final call, the institute will select candidates for the PI. Candidate’s Personal Interview scores will be used with CAT performance while admission. 70% weightage will be on candidate’s performance in PI and 30% to the performance in CAT. However, the IIM will give different marks to different students in their Personal Interview according to their category. Instructions for candidates:- The process of the selection is decided by IIM Shillong only. The result will be declared online. IIM Shillong also takes queries of all candidates through phone calls and e-mails.
