Karnataka Twins Bag Admission in Same Delhi University College and Course

Sushumna Satyanarayana and Sharanya Satyanarayana, non-identical twins from Bangalore (Karnataka) have managed to grab admission seat in the same Delhi University college and course on the basis of their spectacular academic performance in the Karnataka State Board exams.

Both of them have got admission in Delhi University’s Sri Venkateswara College in the Biochemistry (Hons) programme on the basis of the DU first cut off which was declared on 18th June 2018. Sharanya had managed to score 96.33% in class 12th whereas her younger twin Sushumna scored 96.66%.

According to a leading news website, thetwin sisters said that they always wanted to study together but for some reason, their school did not allow them to be in the same class. They only got a chance to be in the same class in 11th and 12th as both of them opted for the Science with bio stream. They were determined to seek admission in the same college and course because of their identical career interests.

Initially, both of them wanted to apply for Karnataka MBBS admissions, however, they decided against it following the high fee structure of private MBBS colleges. Hence, they went on to apply for Delhi University admissions as a result of which they have been able to get admission in Biochemistry course at Venkateswara College. Both Sushumna and Sharanya are looking forward to their journey together in one of the prestigious universities of the country.

Apart from academics, both of them are keen on learning music but have different tastes. Sharanya is into Carnatic music since she was 9 years old and Sushumna has been playing the violin. They also wish to be a part of college’s music society and keep their love for music going.
