ICAR AIEEA Mop-Up Round Counselling 2025: Dates, Eligibility, Process & Key Instructions

Admissions to ICAR institutes for various UG programmes is based on CUET results, while for the PG course, a separate entrance exam, i.e. ICAR AIEEA PG exam, is conducted by NTA. ICAR AIEEA PG exam was conducted on July 3, 2025, and the results are expected to be released in August 2025. The counselling dates will be released tentatively in August by NTA on its official website. However, for the UG programmes, the CUET exam was conducted from May 8 to June 1, 2025. The results of CUET UG programmes were released on July 4, 2025, and the counselling process has also started.

What is ICAR AIEEA Mop-Up Round Counselling?

Before reviewing the important instructions, it’s essential to understand mop-up counselling. If you want to pursue an undergraduate degree in Agriculture through ICAR AIEEA, then you must appear for ICAR AIEEA 2025. After the exam, results will be announced, and the counselling process for the academic year 2025-26 will begin. The first round of counselling will happen soon after the results are published.

Once the first round is complete, the second and third rounds will follow shortly. The ICAR AIEEA mop-up round is the final counselling round for students seeking admission through the ICAR AIEEA exam.

Details about the mop-up round for 2025 will be shared after the third round of counselling is finished.

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Counselling

Eligible students must register and choose their options for ICAR AIEEA counselling. This process will be done online. Eligible students will receive seats based on their performance in the entrance exam. The counselling process includes online registration, filling out choices, seat allocation, reporting, and document verification.

Only students who participate in the counselling will be granted seats. The full counselling schedule will be provided in a separate article. There will be no direct admission to ICAR; you must take the CUET UG or ICAR AIEEA PG exam. You will then be offered seats based on your exam scores, reservation criteria, your chosen options, and seat availability.

What is ICAR AIEEA Mop-Up Round Counselling?

Before checking the important instructions, it is important to know about mop-up counselling in detail:

• Students who would like to pursue their Undergraduate degree in Agriculture through ICAR AIEEA will be writing a national-level exam called ICAR AIEEA.
• After the exam, the results will be out. Then the counselling process will begin for the academic year 2024-25.
• The first round of counselling will be held soon after the results are out.
• After completion of the 1st round of counselling, 2nd and 3rd will also take place soon.
• The mop-up round counselling is the last and final round of counselling for the aspirants who are seeking admissions through ICAR AIEEA.
• The mop-up round of counselling 2025 will be notified after the 3rd round of counselling.

Documents Required for ICAR Mop-Up Round

The documents required for the ICAR mop-up round counselling are:

• Class 10 certificate (or mark sheet)
• Class 12 certificate
• Transfer Certificate (from last attended institute)
• ICAR AIEEA admit card
• Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, etc.)
• Domicile certificate
• Character certificate
• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC‑NCL/EWS/PwD)
• Medical certificate (if applicable for PwD/PH candidates)
• ICAR application form printout/counselling letter (if required)
• Passport-size photographs (usually 3 copies)
• Seat allotment letter
• Additional migration or relevant certificates

ICAR AIEEA 2025 Mop-Up Counselling Guidelines

The important guidelines for ICAR AIEEA 2025 for Mop-Up Round Counselling are provided here:

• In the Mop-up Round of Counselling, students do not have a chance to upgrade their seat allotment.
• Students will not have the option to withdraw or cancel the seat through the student’s login for the entire period of choice filling and until they get a seat allotment in this Mop-Up Round of Counselling.
• The Council will not entertain any kind of request for the withdrawal/ cancellation of the seat, which is sent to the Council by e-mail or fax or by post or by hand or WhatsApp.

Who is Eligible for ICAR AIEEA 2025 Mop-Up Round Counselling?

Students who are willing to participate in the Mop-Up Round Counselling will have to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• Students who could not register themselves for the first round of Counselling, can take part in the Mop-Up Round of Counselling 2025 by paying a registration fee of Rs. 500/- and must have all other eligibility criteria.
• Students who had registered during the first round of counselling, had already paid the prescribed fee but failed to upload the certificates or pay the seat acceptance fee within a given time, are allowed to take part in the Mop-Up Round of Counselling 2025. Such students need not pay the counselling registration fee.
• Students who had registered during the first round of counselling, filled in a choice but didn’t get the desired seat in the expected University/college, can also participate in the Mop-Up Round of Counselling 2025. These students are exempt from paying the registration fee for counselling.
• The above permitted/ allowed students should go for filling fresh choices for the vacant seats in the Mop-Up Round of Counselling. The already filled choices will be automatically cancelled.

Who is Not Eligible for ICAR AIEEA 2025 Mop-Up Round Counselling?

The following students are not eligible to participate in the ICAR AIEEA mop-up round counselling:

• Students who have secured zero marks or negative marks in the AIEEA entrance exam 2025 are not eligible to participate in the Mop-Up Round of Counselling.
• Students who have secured seats already from any of the counselling rounds (Round-1 or Round-2, or Round-3) are not eligible for the Mop-Up Round of Counselling 2025.
• Students who were denied by the Council for not having qualified on the grounds of Eligibility Criteria should also / will not be allowed to participate in the Mop-Up Round of Counselling 2025.
• In case the student’s qualified examination board is not recognized by the state/college/university, ICAR AIEEE is not responsible for such admissions or will provide admissions in the future.
