KCET Physics 2026: Good Attempts & Difficulty Analysis

It is projected that the KCET Physics 2026 paper will be of Easy to Moderate difficulty with a good attempt range of 48-52 out of 60 questions. Approximately 25 -28 questions will be direct and formula based in nature in 1st PUC, and 32-35 questions in 2nd PUC will be more application oriented.

Since KCET has no negative marking, you should attempt all 60 questions. Even uncertain answers should be marked, as there is no penalty for wrong responses.

KCET Physics 2026: Important Points to Remember

The following are some of the main points to remember and tips of preparation that you should consider before you appear for the KCET Physics 2026:

  • The questions in 1st PUC are usually direct and formula based; whereas questions in 2nd PUC are more application based.

  • Gravitation has been making a continuous appearance in the last KCET papers and should not be overlooked.

  • Electrostatics and Current Electricity alone represent about 8-10 questions on a paper.

  • One of the most weighty chapters is Ray Optics - covers geometrical and wave optics in a comprehensive manner.

  • The concepts taught by NCERT are adequate; one does not need to study at the JEE level in order to pass KCET.

  • Complete at least 3–4 past year KCET Physics question papers to become familiar with the question set up and level.

  • Because no negative marking is possible, you must always aim at attempting all the questions even if you are not sure.
