After obtaining the Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in any discipline, students usually either go for a Master’s degree study or start preparing for Government jobs in which only graduates can appear. What else? Well, these are the common routes which the graduates see are open for them as nearly everyone opts for either of the two mentioned above. Rarely does a student after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree opt for the B.Ed programme due to lack of clarity and limited information regarding it. So, which one is a better option? Admission Process to M.A after B.A

Many top Universities in India conduct an entrance examination annually for M.A admissions and a few other Universities offers direct M.A admissions in various subjects. In some colleges, the candidates are put through Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds in addition to entrance exams for filtering out candidates for various M.A specialisations. Usually, the M.A offering Universities in India require the applicants to have an aggregate of 55% in their Bachelor’s degree studies. Admission Process to B.Ed after B.A

In the majority of Indian Universities and Colleges, B.Ed admission is done on the basis of entrance examinations. Usually, for admission into B.Ed programmes, the Universities ask the applicants to have an aggregate between 50 to 55% at the Bachelor level. However, after completing the B.Ed study, the candidates have to appear in a Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) to be able to get hired as a school teacher like CTET, UPTET, KTET etc.

Who Should Opt for M.A

Those who want to continue with their studies in the same discipline in which they completed their Bachelor studies must go for the Master’s degree study. Also, those who have a dream of becoming an Assistant Professor or Professors must go for a Master’s degree. Usually, those students opt for a Postgraduate degree study have an appetite for knowledge and do not stop at a Master’s degree.

Who Should Opt for B.Ed

Graduates who want to join the noble profession of teaching should be the ones who must opt for the B.Ed programme. B.Ed opens up an opportunity to teach at the school level. In short, those who are passionate about teaching must go for a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree. And, the biggest stereotype associated with the teaching profession is only women can be good teachers but hello, men too can be good teachers.
