About TISSNET 2018

TISSNET (short for TISS National Entrance Test) is a computer-based (online) exam, which was organised on 6th January, 2018 across 39 cities for admission to 55 Masters in Social Science programmes offered at TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences). The TISSNET 2018 application process started in October 2017 and the last date to submit the online form was in December 2017. TISS offers admission to its full-time (Regular) Post-Graduate Degree Programmes (M.A., M. Sc., M.H.A., M.P.H.) offered at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad campuses and other locations through TISSNET.

Instructions for Filling TISSNET Application Form 2018:

Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes in any two of the TISS Campuses and other Centre locations. After reading the programme details, candidates are advised to make their choice of programmes carefully. Once the admission is complete, changes to the programmes are not allowed.

TISSNET 2018 Exam Pattern

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) sets the exam pattern of TISSNET. TISSNET paper pattern provides details regarding the number of sections, marking scheme, total marks and time duration. The objective test has questions related to General Knowledge, Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency.

TISSNET 2018 does not have negative marking for any programme including Human Resource Development (HRM). Candidates who apply for a single programme or multiple programmes have to attempt a single question paper with 100 questions for a duration of 100 minutes, this includes candidates who choose HRM in combination with other programme/ programmes.

Time Table Management: Six months is a good amount of time to excel in TISSNET, provided you are honest and dedicated to achieving your goal. Keeping your weaknesses and strengths in mind, you should create a timetable to devote time to each subject.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) announced the results of TISSNET 2018 examination on 27th January, 2018. The scorecard of TISSNET 2018 was available from 6:00 PM on 27th January, 2018. Candidates can log in using their registered email ID /User ID and password to access the TISSNET 2018 Result.

The result of TISSNET 2018 is valid for one year.

The shortlisted candidates are called by TISSNET accepting colleges for a PIT (Pre-Interview Test) /Group Discussion (GD) and PI (Personal Interview) rounds.

The TISSNET 2018 selection process is defined by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. The selection procedure of TISS comprises of three stages, including the National Entrance Test, Pre-Interview Test/Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was started as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work in the 1936 year. In the year 1944, the institute got its new name. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) organises a National Entrance Test (NET) under the name of TISSNET.
