The Maharashtra Bachelor of Education Common Entrance Test or MAH B.Ed CET exam is conducted annually to grant admission to aspiring teachers to B.Ed courses offered across the colleges in Maharashtra. Candidates who qualify the exam are granted seats in their desired college and B.Ed specialization of their choice from the list of MAH B.Ed CET 2024 participating colleges.

The MAH B.Ed CET 2024 exam dates have been released by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra. Students can take the exam in CBT mode from March 4 to March 6, 2024. There are certain guidelines one must follow to avoid any hassles on the exam day. The detailed MAH B.Ed CET 2024 exam day instructions are listed in this article. Candidates must go through these guidelines and follow them at the exam centre.

 MAH B.Ed CET 2024 CBT (Online) Process

The MAH B.Ed CET will be conducted in online mode which will be for a total of 90 minutes or 1.5 hours. The candidates will have to keep the following instructions in mind for the MAH B.Ed CET CBT process:

  1. The candidates must arrive at the exam centre approximately 3 and a half hours before the exam. This will include time for logging in, going through the instructions etc.
  2. The questions will be of multiple-choice types and the candidates will have to choose one correct option among the four options available for each question.
  3. To choose the correct answer, the candidates will have to “Mouse Click” on that option.
  4. The medium of the paper will be in Marathi and English language. The total number of questions asked in the examination is 100.
  5. For the answers for which the candidates are sure, they need to click on “Save and Next” or “Mark for Review and Next” or else the answer will not be saved.
  6. The top right corner of the screen will display the countdown timer and the candidates will have to complete the exam within the timer. If the time runs out, the test will automatically end and your attempted answers will be saved.
  7. There will be a question palette on the right side of the screen which will show the status of the questions. These statuses will consist of:
  • You have not visited the question yet.
  • You have not answered the question.
  • You have answered the question.
  • You have NOT answered the question but have marked the question for review.
  • You have answered the question but marked it for review.
  1. If you are doubtful about a question or want to attempt it later, you can set it to mark to review. If you have marked an answer and then marked the question for review, and in case you did not get time to review the question, the previously marked answer will be considered for evaluation.
  2. The candidates can click on the question numbers in the palette to directly get to that question.
  3. If you want to deselect an answer, you can click again on the same option or click the ‘clear response’ option.
  4. The name of the tests will be displayed on the top of the screen. You can click on the specific test to view the questions of that test. The test in which you currently are will be highlighted. You can also shuffle between questions and tests anytime during the test.
  5. If the candidates have any questions, they can ask the exam administrator before the test. Once the exam starts, no queries will be attended by the invigilators or exam officials.
  6. No candidates will be allowed to submit their test before the deadline of the test.
  7. If the candidate clicks on any KEYBOARD KEYS once the test starts, it will lock the examination. The candidates must ONLY use the mouse for the test.

Documents to Carry to MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Exam Centre

The candidates will have to carry certain documents to the MAH B.Ed CET 2024 exam hall as a mandatory process. These documents include:

  • Hall ticket with affixed Photo 
  • Photo ID proof ( Aadhar Card/ E-Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving License, Voter ID or Bank Passbook with photograph)
  • Employee ID (if applicable)
  • Female candidates who have changed their name after marriage will be allowed to enter the examination hall if they show Gazetted Notification/Original Marriage Certificate/ Original Affidavit.
  • Ballpoint pen

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates taking the MAH B.Ed CET 2024 exam must adhere to specific rules and regulations. The following exam day guidelines outline essential instructions for a smooth conduct of the examination.

  • Admit Card: Ensure you carry a hard copy of the admit card, as entry to the exam center is strictly prohibited without it.
  • Photo ID Proof: Alongside the admit card, bring a valid photo ID; entry without proper identification is not allowed.
  • Reporting Time: Adhere to the reporting time mentioned on the admit card; entry won't be permitted after the exam begins.
  • No Cheating: Strict supervision and CCTV monitoring will be in place; candidates caught cheating will be disqualified.
  • Follow Instructions: Comply with invigilator instructions and carefully read on-screen instructions before starting the exam.
  • Prohibited Items: Items like calculators, digital watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, papers, and cameras are not allowed.
  • No Key Pressing: Avoid pressing any keys on the keyboard to prevent system lock, ensuring you utilize the allocated 1.5 hours effectively.
  • Use Rough Sheets: Obtain A4-size sheets from invigilators for rough work; return them after the exam concludes.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines for PwD Candidates

Those candidates who fall under the PwD category must bring their own self-paid scribes as scribes will not be provided by the MAH B.Ed CET 2024 exam authorities. We have mentioned below the rules for Visually impaired and Cerebral Palsy candidates. 

Rules for PwD Candidates

There are certain rules for the PwD candidates when it comes to bringing their own scribes. 

  • Candidates who will appear in MAH B.Ed CET 2024 exam cannot become a scribe of a PwD candidate. A particular scribe can only help one candidate in the examination. 
  • The candidates who will use a scribe will get an extra 20 minutes of time.
  • The students who will be using a scribe must mention it beforehand during the application process as the system’s time will be set accordingly.

Rules for Cerebral Palsy and Locomotors Disability Students

Those students whose writing hand is permanently disabled (minimum 40% impairment) can only get extra 20 minutes of time. 

Rules for Visually Impaired Students

Candidates who suffer from 40% visual disability will get an extra 20 minutes and if needed can view the online test in enlarged font to complete the exam. The visually impaired candidates who will take the facility of a scribe cannot view the content in the enlarged font, but they will get an additional time of 20 minutes per hour.
