NEET UG Question Paper Leak 2025
has been gaining momentum as more than 135 telegram channels and 32 Instagram accounts have been suspended over the last few weeks for spreading misinformation regarding the same. The NTA authorities have cautioned students not to be lured by the unofficial sources and rather rely on official sources for communication. The social media groups and Instagram handles caught spreading misinformation about the

have been reported to the Ministry’s Cyber Crime Coordination Centre.

The government has taken action against over 250 MBBS students and aspirants who were directly or indirectly involved in illegal practices like solving the NEET UG leaked question paper, luring students, etc. Keeping in mind last year’s paper-leaking rumours, the NTA authorities have taken strict measures to avoid such incidents this year. After flagging 1,500 suspicious NEET UG paper leak claims on the internet, on May 3, 2025, authorities have asked examinees to stay cautious and report any rumours regarding NEET 2025 examinations.

NEET UG Question Paper Leak 2025: What We Know So Far
Below is everything we know so far about the NEET UG 2025 question paper leak:
- NTA Suspends Social Media Handles: Over 1,500 suspicious cases have been reported to the cybercrime branch for misleading students. 135 telegram channels, 32 instagram accounts have been suspended after being found to mislead/manipulate students & guardians regarding the exam paper. The NTA authorities have warned students and their guardians not to get manipulated or carried away by fraudulent groups claiming to have the question paper having the questions. At present, 215 students' candidature has been put on hold, and these students are likely to be suspended.
- Suspicious Claims Portal Launch: The NTA authorities launched the suspicious claims portal on April 25, 2025, in which students can report any suspicious activity happening regarding the exam. Students can register on the portal, then fill out the form with required details, enter their complaint and submit the form.
- Caught Fraudsters in Noida Sector 3: The Uttar Pradesh special task force (STF) has caught three fraudsters named Vikram Kumar Shah, Dharampal Singh and Aniket Kumar. The fraudsters were caught in Noida Sector 3 from Gautam Buddha Nagar District in Noida. The fraudsters were misleading NEET aspirants' guardians and were running a gang to cheat in the NEET UG exam. An FIR has been registered against them in the Phase 1 police station, and they are charged under 318, 319, 336, 337, 338, 340, and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
- STF Took Legal Actions Against Noida Case Fraudsters: The legal actions against Noida fraudsters are ongoing, and the STF authorities have extracted various evidence as proof of malpractice. These individuals used to charge Rs. 5,00,000 in exchange for a pre-designed OMR sheet which consisted of exam questions. The students used to fill in that sheet, and later these individuals used to replace it with the correct answers. The STF authorities have extracted six calling phones, four personal phones, a candidate data sheet, and two encrypted aadhar cards, PAN card, Voter ID card, passport, chequebook, an Apple MacBook and a Toyota Fortuner.
NEET 2025 Question Paper Fraud & Seat Scam: As per the latest news reports, Odisha and Rajasthan police have identified and arrested individuals on allegations of leaking NEET question papers 2025 in exchange for bribes of INR 40 lakh. The accused promised students guaranteed admission in medical colleges.
Enhanced Security Measures: The NTA authorities have introduced enhanced security protocols. These measures include multi-layered security, strict exam checks by district police, secure transportation of papers under police security, etc. The exam centres are equipped with CCTV surveillance, while the coaching centres and online platforms are being monitored. Further, the question papers are watermarked by the exam authorities for identification.
No confirmed Incidents of Paper Leaks: There have been no confirmed reports regarding the NEET 2025 paper leaks. Among the examinees, 42 students' candidature has been cancelled by the exam authorities, and they cannot appear in the exam for three years.
Continuous Warnings: The NTA authorities have issued notices and legal action warnings against any illegal activity, illegal practices, or misleading of any sort. The students will be suspended immediately, and the exam authorities will take strict action if suspected of being involved in any sort of malpractice. In some states, police authorities have already detained some individuals for spreading fake leak information. These students will face severe penalties under the Prevention of Unfair Means Act.
NEET Exam Paper Leak 2025: What is NTA's Stance?
The NTA authorities have adopted a firm stance against rumours and potential claims regarding the NEET 2025 question paper leak. Below are the issues that have been addressed by the NTA authorities through multiple official channels.
NTA authorities have denied any instances of paper leak on May 3, 2025. It rather focuses on the fair and secure conduct of the examination for all the examinees.
The NTA has taken strong action against the bodies, channels and students spreading misinformation. The individuals involved in malpractices have been reported to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, and the I4C will take further action against them.
The NTA authorities have introduced strict protocols and security measures across all the NEET 2025 exam centres. The authorities are actively working on preventing any malpractices and ensuring integrity in the examination process.
NTA authorities have already warned students & guardians not to get lured/manipulated, or involved in any means of malpractices. If found guilty, they will face strict measures under the Prevention of Unfair Means Act.
Based on last year's leak controversies, this year the NTA authorities have taken strict measures to ensure a smooth process and equal integrity in the exam. The authorities have taken proactive measures such as cybercrime reporting on the portal, suspending misleading online handles, taking strict actions against dishonest students and more. Meanwhile, the NEET UG 2025 Exam was successfully held on May 4, 2025. The NEET 2025 Result is expected to be out by June 14, 2025.
