    Is BHMS considered Dr?

    BHMS is commonly used for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. This course includes the medical study of various aspects of Homeopathic science. After successful completion of the BHMS course, Students can practice as a doctor in Homeopathy. All you need to have an RMP(Regular Medical Practitioner) license issued by the AYUSH ministry. 

     

    Does AIIMS provide BHMS?

    No, AIIMS Delhi does not provide the BHMS course. However, one can apply for an AYUSH Medical Officer at AIIMS after he/she completes a BHMS degree.

     

    Are BHMS and BAMS equal?

    No, the courses differ from the fundamental theory of treatment. The BHMS is the study of homoeopathic treatment of a patient and BAMS includes the study of Ayurvedic Science and treatment through that approach. However, both degrees are equally considered and recognised.

     

    How many marks are required for BHMS in NEET 2023?

    You are expected to score at least 350 marks in NEET 2023 to get admission to a reputed  BHMS and BAMS government medical college. BHMS or Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical and Surgery and  Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery BAMS are the most preferable courses for any medical aspirant after MBBS. To get admission to a Government homoeopathy college for the BHMS course, your score should be above 350 marks.
