NEET 2022 is one of the most prestigious medical entrance exams in the country that opens gates to courses in different branches of medical practices including MBBS, BAMS, and BHMS. The NEET Cutoff for the BHMS course will be declared soon. Moreover, the NEET 2022 exam has been conducted and the results have been released. All the BHMS colleges will accept NEET Cutoff 2022 scores for admissions. 52,270 AYUSH seats will be allotted via 15% AIQ Counselling and 85% state quota seats.

NEET 2022 Cutoff has been announced by National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the exam result on September 7. Although, the NEET Admission Cutoff 2022 (15% AIQ) will be announced institute-wise after the NEET Counselling process is done by MCC. NEET 2022 Cutoff percentile is 50 for the General and Unreserved category, 40 for SC/ST/OBC & 45 for UR-PH. Homoeopathy is a parallel medical practice and equivalent to allopathy in terms of popularity among medical aspirants. The BHMS aspirants have to score the minimum NEET Cutoff for BHMS to get admission to government/private homoeopathy colleges in the country. How many marks are required for BHMS in NEET 2022?

You are expected to score at least 350 marks in NEET 2022 to get admission to a reputed  BHMS and BAMS government medical college. BHMS or Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical and Surgery and  Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery BAMS are the most preferable courses for any medical aspirant after MBBS. To get admission to a Government homoeopathy college for the BHMS course, your score should be above 350 marks.

 

Are BHMS and BAMS equal?

No, the courses differ from the fundamental theory of treatment. The BHMS is the study of homoeopathic treatment of a patient and BAMS includes the study of Ayurvedic Science and treatment through that approach. However, both degrees are equally considered and recognised.

 

Does AIIMS provide BHMS?

No, AIIMS Delhi does not provide the BHMS course. However, one can apply for an AYUSH Medical Officer at AIIMS after he/she completes a BHMS degree.

 

Is BHMS considered Dr?

BHMS is commonly used for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. This course includes the medical study of various aspects of Homeopathic science. After successful completion of the BHMS course, Students can practice as a doctor in Homeopathy. All you need to have an RMP(Regular Medical Practitioner) license issued by the AYUSH ministry.
