TNEA Round 3 Counselling: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, will commence the TNEA round 3 counselling to fill the remaining seats from the first 2 rounds of TNEA counselling 2025. TNEA 2025 round 3 counselling will begin in August 2025. The TNEA counselling detailed procedure has been released by the conducting authority. TNEA counselling 2025 registration has started from May 7, 2025, and the last date to complete registration is June 6, 2025. The DoTE, Chennai, released the TNEA 3rd round counselling date. The DoTE will release the TNEA 2025 round 3 allotment status on the official TNEA website. For admission to various B.E. / B.Tech courses and colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu, you are required to take part in the counselling process. TNEA Counselling Detailed Procedure

The TNEA counselling is an online process which includes various steps like registration, payment of deposit, filling of choices, seat allotment and confirmation. The detailed TNEA counselling process is mentioned below.

Student Registration & Verification of Certificates

The very first step to take part in the TNEA counselling process is to complete the registration process. You have to register to take part in the counselling process. After successfully completing the registration process, you have to upload your documents for the verification process.

TNEA Rank List 2025 Publication

The TNEA 2025 rank list is published using the scores obtained by the students in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in their senior secondary exam. The rank of the students in the rank list of TNEA will determine the probability of admission in the participating colleges of TNEA.

TNEA Choice Filling 2025

In this stage of counselling, you are required to enter your preferred choice of college and course. You must ensure to fill your choices in order of your preference, and there is no limit on the number of choices that can be filled.

TNEA Seat Allotment 2025

TNEA 2025 seat allotment result is declared after each round of TNEA counselling. You will be allotted seats on the basis of your marked preference of college and course and your respective rank in the TNEA rank list 2025. The seat allotment result will consist of details like the name of the student, college name, branch name.

TNEA 2025 Seat Allotment Confirmation

If you are allotted a seat during the seat allocation procedure, you will be given alternatives for confirming your position. In order to avoid being moved to the next round of counselling, you must confirm your seat within two days of the date of allotment.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

The last step in TNEA counselling is reporting to the allotted institute/college. If you have been allotted a seat during the seat allotment result, you must download the TNEA seat allotment letter and report to the allotted institute within 7 days with the important documents and complete their admission process by paying the requisite admission fees.

TNEA Eligible Ranks

TNEA eligible ranks are released by Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu on its official website. The eligible rank depends upon the scores obtained by the students in their senior secondary examination. The TNEA eligible rank is dependent on various factors like total number of seats at the TNEA participating colleges, the number of students taking part in the counselling process and the TNEA previous year cutoff trends.

TNEA Vacant Seats

You are allotted a seat at the TNEA participating colleges based on the rank in the TNEA rank list. You will only be allotted a seat in the TNEA Round 3 Counselling after the seats are allotted to students in the second round of counselling. Therefore, only the vacant seats after round 2 counselling are available for round 3 TNEA counselling 2025.
