THE World University Rankings 2023: Anna University was placed in the rank band 801-1000 at the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023. The rankings are based on 13 different factors that measure how well universities teach, do research, share knowledge, and have an international focus. To ensure the rankings are accurate, the researchers studied more than 121 million citations from over 15.5 million research papers and got feedback from 40,000 scholars worldwide. NIRF Ranking 2023: Anna University has bagged 14th place in the universities category as per the NIRF Ranking 2023. 

Established on September 4, 1978, Anna University is a unitary university located in Chennai. Anna University campus (main) is spread over 189 acres of land.
