Amidst all the trending hashtags on Twitter like #postponegate2022, #delaygate2022 etc, it has come to our attention that a letter has been submitted to the Hon'ble Minister of Law and Justice of India, Mr Kiren Rijuju to postpone the GATE 2022 examination. According to the latest tweets, some “Beloved Guruji” (identity unknown) has written a letter to Mr Rijuju for the postponement of this year’s GATE examination. It has further come to light that this letter will be forwarded to the MHRD office and the “requesters” are finally seeing some ray of hope at the end of the long tunnel. The final decision regarding, whether or not the GATE 2022 exam will be postponed, will arrive shortly to the candidates.

IIT Kharagpur had earlier reaffirmed that the GATE 2022 test will be held as scheduled on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, but students turned to Twitter again on Friday to urge that the exam be postponed due to COVID incidents. It should be remembered that the admit card for GATE 2022 has already been announced, and applicants may obtain it by visiting the official website at the gate.iitkgp.ac.in. This year, around 8 lakh candidates are scheduled to take the test.
The GATE 2022 response sheet is expected to be released on 18th February and the answer key tentatively on 26th February. The GATE 2022 cutoff and GATE 2022 result will be declared on 17th March, as per the latest GATE exam schedule.
