In this case, a student after completing his/her class XIIth exam can opt for the 5-year B.A LL.B programme in which the student will receive two degrees at the end of the course. In the B.A LL.B programme, the students study an Arts stream subject and along with it, law subjects. Each semester in this dual-degree programme, the students study some arts subjects and law subjects. There are various renowned Universities and institutions that offer B.A. LL.B programme. The aspirants have to appear in an entrance exam such as AP LAWCET, CLAT, LSAT India, TS LAWCET etc to get admission in this programme.

Advantages of Opting for B.A LL.B after 12th

Choosing to pursue B.A LL.B after 12th can have several advantages which are as follows -

  • The students will get two degrees after the completion of B.A LL.B study

  • The maximum age limit to apply for the B.A LL.B programme is set 22 years by the Bar Council of India which gives the students a good time to decide about their career after their XIIth exams

  • Students get an exposure to both legal education and political science education in the five-year B.A LL.B programme

Disadvantages of Opting for B.A LL.B after 12th
