The UK-India TOEFL Scholarship has been launched in partnership with ETS TOEFL and The National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU).
25 scholars from India will receive the UK-India TOEFL scholarship which is worth INR 6 million to pursue higher education in UK universities. The scholarship is an initiative of India@75, ETS@75 and a celebration of UK-India ties that will support students who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate education at a UK university.
The aggregate value of the scholarship is USD 75,000 and each of the candidates will be awarded a scholarship of INR 2.4 lakhs.

These scholarships intend to provide financial assistance for various expenses related to college that may include but not be limited to books, tuition, housing deposits and transportation.
The scholarship selection panel will comprise NISAU, UK university representatives, and industry representatives who would select the winners. The students can apply for UK-India TOEFL Scholarships within May 31, 2023.
NISAU Chairperson Sanam Arora, who was recently appointed as a Commissioner of the UK’s International Higher Education Commission, expressed her excitement about the launch of the scholarships. She mentioned that it has been a long-standing dream for NISAU and herself to provide scholarships to Indian students who intend to use their British education to create a positive social impact and contribute to society.
With the support of ETS, the organization is thrilled to offer scholarships worth USD 75,000 to 25 Indian scholarships that can bear the flag of change for tomorrow. They are excited to be able to contribute in a small way to address the inequality persistent in the international education sector that prevents bright students from achieving education in the UK.
Eligibility Criteria for UK-India TOEFL Scholarships
The eligibility criteria for UK-India TOEFL scholarships are:

Students must receive a minimum TOEFL score of 75 out of 120.

A UK university offer letter.

They must intend to study a fee-paying undergraduate and postgraduate taught-level degree course.

They must be enrolling for the first time at a UK university.

Assessment Process of UK-India TOEFL Scholarships
The UK-India TOEFL iBT Scholarship Program has a competitive application process. Being eligible for it does not guarantee success. The assessment and selection is a three-step process:

Step 1: The first screening test will include the eligibility of the applicants and the complete documents they have submitted.

Step 2: The essay submission will be considered next along with other personal and academic credentials based on the following criteria:

What is the motivation behind the student to study in the UK?

How will the scholarship contribute to the applicant’s development for a UK academic program?

What are the previous achievements of the candidates that align with the values of the grant programme and what is the goal that they wish to pursue on receiving the provision of their grant?

Step 3: The 25 selected students will receive a notification from ETS India.

How to Access the UK-India TOEFL Scholarship Funds
Once the selection process is complete, the recipients will be required to furnish their personal bank account details. The grant, which is a lump sum of USD 3,000, will be credited to the bank accounts mentioned by the recipients. The payment will be made in full within 60 days of ETS India receiving a signed copy of the Notice of Acceptance or Offer.
