CAT Exam Centres 2025: State-wise List of CAT Test Cities
IIM Calcutta has released the state-wise list of CAT 2025 exam centres. The exam will be held at 375 test centres in 170 cities in India. You have to choose your preferred test cities during the application process.
CAT 2025 exam centres will be located in 170 test cities in India. Almost every city has more than one CAT test centre, ensuring enough flexibility for candidates nationwide. While filling out the CAT application form, you have to choose up to five CAT exam centres based on your accessibility and preference. It is recommended that you choose the centres for the CAT 2025 exam nearest to you so that you do not have to go through too much hassle while reaching there on the exam day. The conducting authority provides a facility to change the test city preference during the CAT application form correction window. The final CAT exam centre is allotted based on the preference of the choices filled by you and the number of candidates who have registered for the exam.

How to Choose CAT Exam Centres 2025?
While choosing CAT 2025 exam centres, you must keep your convenience in mind. If you are located in Delhi, make sure to choose an exam centre that is close to your area. If there is no exam centre available in your area, then choose the one that is most accessible to you. Now, let's have a look at how to choose CAT exam centres 2025.
The first step is registering on the official website (iimcat.ac.in).
After the successful registration, proceed with the CAT registration 2025 .
In the Test Ciy Preference section, choose 6 cities at your convenience from the list.
The selection of the CAT exam centres should be in the order of your preferences.
Once you have filled out the CAT exam centres along with other details, you can submit the application form.
The allotment of the CAT exam centre is done based on the choices and the number of candidates appearing for the exam.
In case you are not allotted the exam centre of your first preference, you will be allotted a seat in the next available centre as per your choice.
Can CAT Exam Centres 2025 Preferences Be Changed?
Yes, you can make changes to your CAT 2025 test city preferences during the application form correction process. When the form correction window is available, you can edit your CAT exam centre preference by logging into the official website using your CAT credentials. It must be noted that the final CAT exam centre will be allotted based on the preferences filled and the number of candidates who have registered for the exam.
Exam Day Guidelines to Follow at the CAT Exam Centre 2025
No matter what level of preparation you have done for the CAT 2025, if you’re not aware of the CAT 2025 exam day instructions , there is a chance of ruining the day. For easy entry to the exam hall, you must take a look at the following exam day guidelines that need to be followed at the CAT 2025 exam centres:
You should arrive at the CAT exam centres at the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. If not possible, arrive at least 30 minutes before the gate closes, as no entry to the exam hall will be allowed after that
Check the reporting time once more the day before the CAT exam. Reporting time for the Morning session is 7:00 am, for the Afternoon session is 11:00 am, and for the Evening session is 3:00 pm.
An original, valid ID proof- Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Employer ID, or Identification Affidavit has to be presented at the gates of the CAT exam centers.
Make sure you have a hard copy of your CAT admit card 2025 and an original ID proof before going to the exam locations.
Also, have a digital copy of the admit card on your phone to locate the exam centre through the Google Maps link mentioned on it.
The CAT Application Number mentioned on the admit card serves as your primary reference identity. In case you forget to carry the admit card, you will not be granted entry to the exam hall.
To find the Exam Lab/Console in the CAT exam centres, use the application number displayed on the CAT admit card.
Attach a photograph to the space allotted on their CAT admit card.
Don’t carry any prohibited objects or documents to the exam hall, as it may lead to trouble. In case you are carrying any prohibited or exceptional items, you must carry an authorization form provided by IIMs.
Avoid carrying handbags or luggage as the CAT exam centres have no arrangements for the same.
PwD candidates must carry the Scribe Affidavit and other necessary medical certificates. Students with a pacemaker or any kind of metal implant in their body are required to carry a medical certificate of the same.
If your name has been changed due to marriage, divorce, or any other legal reason, you must carry the name change documents.
