Steps to Apply for CLAT 2026

To apply for CLAT 2026, you must first check if you meet the prescribed CLAT eligibility criteria . You will also have to upload scanned copies of some documents to prove your eligibility for the exam. You will have to follow these steps to apply for CLAT 2026 successfully.

Step 1: Register Online

• Go to the official website of the Consortium of NLUs or click on the link given above.

• Click on the "Register" button and enter the details asked, such as your name, a working mobile number, and email ID.
• Submit the registration form.
• You will receive a User ID and password on your registered mobile number and email ID. Save these login credentials to access your CLAT portal in the future.

Step 2: Fill the CLAT Application Form

• Log in to your CLAT portal using the User ID and password you have received after registering.
• Select the course in which you desire admission.
• Fill in all the personal details asked, including your name, parents' names, address, contact information, nationality, category, etc.
• Next, you will have to provide your academic qualifications and marks secured in the qualifying degrees.
• You will have to select up to three CLAT exam centre options in the order of your choice.

Step 3: Upload Documents

• To upload documents to your CLAT application form, you will have to scan them and compress them to the prescribed size.
• You must also adhere to the format specified for uploading documents.
• Upload any additional certificates required, such as category, PwD, BPL, etc.

Step 4: Pay Application Fee

• Your CLAT 2026 application form will be considered submitted only after you have paid the application fee.
