CLAT 2023 Exam Centres

The NLU Consortium releases information pertaining to the CLAT 2023 exam centres along with the release of the CLAT 2023 notification. Last year. the exam was conducted in more than 80 cities across India. Every city had multiple exam centres depending on the number of candidates appearing for the exam. Candidates had the option of choosing 3 test cities depending on the order of preference stated by the applicant in the CLAT 2023 application form.

CLAT 2023 Exam Centres: Important Instructions

Some of the important instructions that need to be followed at CLAT 2023 Exam Centres are mentioned below.

  • Candidates should mention their CLAT 2023 test centre preferences correctly while filling out the CLAT 2023 application form.
  • Candidates must carry their CLAT 2023 admit card, recent photograph, valid id proof etc. Candidates are not allowed to enter the exam centre without these documents.
  • Candidates should reach the exam centre an hour before the commencement of the CLAT 2023 entrance exam.

How to Change CLAT 2023 Exam Centre

To update their CLAT 2023 exam centre preferences, candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • The applicant will have to visit the official website of CLAT.
  • He/ she will have to log into the CLAT account by using the username and password.
  • The option to update the details will be available by clicking on the 'Edit Application' button.
  • After clicking on that, the candidate will have to go to the 'Preferences' tab.
  • Here, he/ she can update the 3 test centre preferences as required.
  • Before logging out, the applicant must go through other details and verify all the entered data as no changes will be allowed after this.
  • The candidate can click on the 'Next' button and save the updated preferences.

Documents Required at the CLAT 2023 Exam Centre

The applicant is required to carry one of the valid photo id proof mentioned below along with the CLAT Admit Card 2023.

  • Driving License

  • PAN Card 

  • Voter’s ID Card

  • Passport

  • Photo ID proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with a photograph

  • Bank Passbook with a photograph

  • Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University

  • Photo ID proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with a photograph

  • Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID/  Bar Council Identity Card

CLAT 2023 Exam Day Instructions

Listed below are the points which the candidates must keep in mind for the exam day.

  • The venue is assigned to the candidate on the admit card and as per the availability of the exam centre. 

  • Candidates falling under Specially Abled Persons (SAP) category will be offered 40 minutes extra time for exam completion.

  • Carry all the necessary documents along with the hall ticket as an entry in the exam centre will be prohibited without it.

  • Reporting at least one hour before the exam is an ideal situation as that can avoid unnecessary chaos.

  • Carrying electronic devices or paper chips can lead to disqualification from the exam. It should be completely avoided.

  • No student will be allowed to enter the examination hall half an hour before the commencement of the examination.

Candidates using Scribe in CLAT 2023

Candidates using Scribe in CLAT 2023 

Candidates who require a scribe during the examination must specify that in their CLAT 2023 application form while registering. Along with that photocopies of relevant documents must also be uploaded.

Mentioned below is the list of documents and statements to be uploaded if requiring a scribe.

  • Firstly, to use a scribe, a Disability Certificate is required, signed by the competent authority.
  • Secondly, a statement mentioning that the candidates will be bringing a scribe or if the CLAT authorities will be providing one should be uploaded.
  • Thirdly, if the candidate arranges for a scribe he/she must sign a declaration stating that he/she will follow all laws and regulations and will not engage in any form of unethical behaviour,  the scribe would only help in reading the question and marking the answer and not in helping the candidate to answer.
