• You must be at least 17 years of age

• You must have cleared the merit criteria (based on your 12th results) or qualified an entrance exam (NEET/CUET UG/ other state-level exams, like EAMCET,KCETetc.), whichever is accepted by the concerned institute.

Why Is Science Required for B.Pharmacy?

Science is essentially required for B.Pharmacy as it provides the fundamental knowledge of drug composition and effects, body functions, anatomy and physiology etc. All these are covered in the 10+2 level Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Having in-depth understanding of these core concepts and foundational knowledge is important to develop, formulate, assess, and dispense medicines safely. Students from Non-Science background may not be able to comprehend these drug interactions, dosage and biological effects, thus making them unsuitable for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.

Alternate Pathways to B.Pharmacy for Non-Science Students

B.Pharmacy direct admission is usually not possible without core Science background.
