GATE 2024 Instrumentation Engineering Exam Pattern

GATE exam pattern 2024 has been released for all the papers. Candidates who opted for IN paper must be aware of the section-wise weightage, marking scheme, question type, etc. Therefore, we have provided the GATE 2024 exam pattern for Instrumentation Engineering below.

  • GATE 2024 Instrumentation Engineering will be a three-hour computer-based examination.
  • The exam duration is 3 hours.
  • Paper will be formatted in English only.
  • The test will have three types of questions: MCQs, MSQs, and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
  • The paper will include a general aptitude part that all applicants must complete. It will consist of ten questions, half of which will be for one mark and the other half will be worth two marks.
  • For one-mark MCQs, ⅓ of a mark will be removed for wrong attempts; for two-mark MCQs, ⅔ of a mark will be deducted.
  • No marks will be dedicated for unattempted questions
