What is the qualification required to do Physiotherapy in India?

A graduation degree from a recognised university is the most popular way to become a physiotherapist in India. A full-time undergraduate degree takes at least three years and a part-time course in physiotherapy will take six years to complete. A two-year Master's degree is also a recommended option if you already have a relevant degree. This will help you in specialising in a particular field.  

Can I do MBBS after BPT?

Yes, any student may pursue MBBS after doing BPT (Bachelors in Physiotherapy). In order to appear for NEET 2022, you will have to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria i.e. The candidate must have completed class 12th with physics, chemistry, biology, and English as mandatory subjects with an aggregate score of a minimum of 50%.  

Is NEET mandatory for BPT?

No NEET score is compulsory for admission to the BPT course as per the guidelines issued by NTA. However, other state-level entrance exams are conducted for admission in BPT in different medical institutes in the country.
