NIFT Patna, Bihar will soon release their cutoff ranks 2026 across various categories like Open, OBC, EWS, SC, and more, for different UG and PG courses. According to the previous trends of cutoffs, the NIFT Patna cutoff rank 2026 is projected to vary from 800 to 1600 for B.Des Fashion Design.
TheNIFT Patna cutoff ranks 2026are set to be released soon for all categories (including OBC-NC, EWS, Open, SC, and ST) during the seat allotment and theNIFT 2026 counselling process, tentatively in June 2026. All theNIFT 2026 participating collegeswill individually release the cutoff for their UG and PG programmes. The NIFT Patna cutoff will be declared as opening and closing Category Merit Ranks (CMRs) for admission to BDes and BFTech courses atNIFT Patna. The cutoff process for 2024 has been finalized for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M) proved to be the most competitive out of all courses. For students within the General AI quota, admissions to this course closed at a rank of 646 in 2024. Put into perspective, the closing ranks for the course in 2023 and 2022 were 428 and 389, respectively. Over the past three years, the cutoffs for M.F.M have strictly increased, evidencing the growing demands for the specialisation. For OBC students who had the benefit of AI, M.F.M also turned out to be the toughest program; its last-round cutoff closed at rank 942.

Applicants must be informed that seats will be assigned depending on their category and selections for college campuses they indicated during initial registration, after their NIFT merit rank 2026. Furthermore, admission to both the reserved and open categories will be considered for applicants who fit into any of the reserved categories — SC, ST, and OBC. Candidates in the reserved category, however, are unlikely to be considered for admission, irrespective of their NIFT Patna cutoff ranks 2026.
