NIFT Kannur Cutoff Ranks 2026: Expected Cutoff with Previous Years' Trends
The NIFT Kannur will soon publish their cutoff ranks 2026 for different categories such as Open, OBC, EWS, SC, etc for UG and PG courses based on NIFT 2026 scores. The NIFT Kannur cutoff rank 2026 is expected to range from 450 to 1250 for Fashion Communication considering the previous years’ cutoff trends.
TheNIFT Kannur cutoff ranks 2026will be released once theNIFT 2026 counselling processand seat allotment round begins in June 2026, tentatively, after the declaration of theNIFT 2026 results. The stage 1 results will be announced in April 2026. The cutoff will be made available in the form of opening and closing ranks for the differentNIFT 2026 participating collegesfor multiple categories including EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NC and Open across different UG and PG courses. According to the previous years’ cutoff, the BFTech in Apparel Production was regarded as the most competitive course at the undergraduate level. Taking into account the cutoff trends from prior years, theNIFT Kannurcutoff rank for 2026 is anticipated to range from 450 to 1250 for Fashion Communication, 400 to 1100 for Fashion Design, 130 to 280 for Master of Design (M.Des), 140 to 480 for Master of Fashion Management (MFM), etc. among others for the General category.

According to the NIFT Kannur 2024 cutoffs, the B.Des specialisation that is highly competitive under the General AI quota is Fashion Communication, with a closing rank of 226. Comparatively, for the same specialisation, the closing ranks in the year 2023 were at 1084 and in the year 2022, it was 1322. In this case, the closing ranks decline steadily for three consecutive years and thus are growing competitive. The OBC category under the AI quota was no different. Fashion Communication was the toughest specialisation to get into, with the last-round cutoff rank being 1836 in 2024.
