TNEA Rank List 2025: The TNEA rank list 2025 has been released on June 27, 2025. In case you find any discrepancy, you will be able to request redressal for all the grievances from June 28 to July 2, 2025. The counselling process for different categories will commence from July 4, 2025. TNEA 2025 registration commenced from May 7, 2025, to June 6, 2025. You can access the rank list by logging in with your registered email address and password. The DTE has published different rank lists for TNEA 2025 by category in PDF format. Through the TNEA rank list 2025, you can check whether you have made it to the merit list and if you are eligible for the counselling process. The results of Class 12 are used by the authorities to create the rank list of TNEA 2025.

The TNEA 2025 Registration & Application form fill-up process started from May 7, 2025 and was completed on June 6, 2025 . You must note that the rank list for TNEA Direct B.Tech Admission 2025 has the merit position of the student, and the same shall be considered for the seat allotment. Your marks in the specified subjects of the qualifying test will be reduced to a base of 200 (Mathematics- 100 and Physics + Chemistry- 100) to produce the TNEA 2025 rank list. How Is TNEA Rank List 2025 Prepared?

The TNEA 2025 rank list is prepared based on marks obtained by you in Classes 11 & 12. Only the marks scored in group subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry shall be taken into consideration. DTE will compile the TNEA 2025 rank list based on the marks scored by applicants in the qualifying examination's required disciplines. The authorities cut the applicants' marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to a base of 200. Mathematics has a larger weightage, i.e. 100 marks, whereas Physics and Chemistry marks are combined and transformed out of 100 marks (Mathematics = 100 & Physics + Chemistry = 100). TNEA Rank List 2025 Normalization Process

DTE uses a normalisation procedure to equalise the marks obtained b you in qualifying examinations from various boards. The authorities will compare the marks obtained by applicants from other boards with those obtained by the Tamil Nadu State Board. You can use the following example to learn the TNEA 2025 normalisation approach.

For example, if a student's greatest scores in Physics from the State Board of Tamil Nadu are 100 and the highest marks in the same subject from any other Board are 90, both top marks will be deemed equivalent to 100. If a student from another Board receives 60 marks in Physics but the first mark in Physics in the same Board is 90, 60 marks will be deemed equal to 66.66 points as calculated below.

(100 x 60) / 90 = 66.66 %

Qualified students will be included in a unified TNEA rank list following the normalisation of marks in the relevant topics in the qualifying examinations administered by separate Boards.

Procedure after TNEA Rank List 2025 Announcement

All the students who will be featured in the rank list will have to fill out the choice filling form, where you need to choose the colleges and branches. Based on the TNEA rank and college preferences, you are allocated seats. A separate seat allotment result is to be announced on the date specified by DTE Tamil Nadu.

After the seat allotment, you will have to deposit the initial fee of Rs. 5,000 (Rs. 1,000 for Reserved Categories).

Tie Breaking Rule for TNEA Rank List 2025

If two or more applicants get the same marks in the qualifying examination, the authorities will prepare inter se merit. TNEA inter se merit 2025 will be prepared using the following rule:

• In the event of a tie, the applicant with the higher proportion of marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher.

• If the tie remains, the applicant with the higher proportion of marks in Physics will be assigned a higher TNEA rank.

• If the tie remains, the applicant with the higher percentage of marks in the fourth optional topic will be granted a higher position.

• If the tie still exists, the older applicant will be assigned a higher TNEA rank.

• If the tie remains, it will be broken using the TNEA Random Number. You with a greater Random Number value will be ranked higher.

Students selected from the TNEA rank list are eligible for the TNEA Counselling 2025 . During the counselling process, you must pick your TNEA participating desired institutions and courses. The final TNEA seat allocation is based on the rank list, available seats, and the students' preferences. The final seat allocation is published on the official website. Selected students must report to the designated institutes to pay the admission fee.
