TNEA Random Number 2021 – Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) Tamil Nadu will release the Random Number for TNEA 2021 in June. Once the online form submission and documents upload process concludes, the next stage in the admission process for B.Tech in Tamil Nadu is the generation of a random number.
What is TNEA Random Number 2021?
TNEA Random Number is a 10-Digit Unique ID that helps DOTE - Directorate of Technical Education Tamil Nadu to resolve tie while preparing the rank list. Random Number will be used after applying four rules of tie-breaking policy.
How to Check TNEA Random Number 2021?
The following steps will help the candidates to check TNEA Random Number –
Step 1 | Click on the direct link above or visit the official website tneaonline.org |
Step 2 | Click on the ‘Login’ option on the homepage of TNEA website |
Step 3 | Enter the E-Mail ID and Password to Login |
Step 4 | Your Random Number will be displayed on the screen. The candidates will also receive the same via SMS on their mobile. |
TNEA Tie Breaking Policy 2021
Tie Breaking Policy will be applied if two or more candidates secure the same rank or merit. The policy will help DOTE to resolve the tie. The following rules are applied –
Tie Breaker 1 | Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics shall be allocated higher rank. |
Tie Breaker 2 | If the tie persists, higher marks scored by a candidate in Physics shall be taken into consideration to determine rank/ merit. |
Tie Breaker 3 | If the tie persists after applying the above rules, the candidate with higher marks in 4th optional subject shall be allocated higher rank. |
Tie Breaker 4 | If the tie persists after applying the above rules, Date of Birth of a candidate shall be taken into consideration. Candidates older in age will be allocated a higher rank. |
Tie Breaker 5 | If the tie persists after applying all the above rules, Random Number will be used to determine the merit. Candidate with a higher value of random number shall be allocated higher rank. |
What after TNEA Random Number Allocation?
After the allocation of TNEA Random Number, DOTE begins the certificate verification process. This year, the authority is taking up online certificate verification. The candidates can check their document verification status through the official website of TNEA. A rank list will be released after the certificate verification.
