TNEA Tie Breaking Policy 2025
A tie-breaking policy is applied if two or more students secure the same rank or merit. The policy will help DOTE to resolve the tie. The following rules are applied –

Tie Breaker 1 | Students with higher marks in Mathematics shall be allocated a higher rank. |
Tie Breaker 2 | If the tie persists, higher marks scored by a student in Physics shall be taken into consideration to determine rank/ merit. |
Tie Breaker 3 | If the tie persists after applying the above rules, the student with higher marks in the 4th optional subject shall be allocated a higher rank. |
Tie Breaker 4 | If the tie persists after applying the above rules, the Date of Birth of a student shall be taken into consideration. Students older in age will be allocated a higher rank. |
Tie Breaker 5 | If the tie persists after applying all the above rules, a Random Number will be used to determine the merit. Students with a higher value of random number shall be allocated a higher rank. |
What after Random Number TNEA 2025 Allocation?
After the allocation of the TNEA Random Number 2025, DTE will begin the certificate verification process. The TNEA 2025 certificate verification will be done from June 10-20, 2025.
