Master of Business Management (MBA) is typically a 2-year programme is one of the most sought after courses for the desired job after completion of the graduation. 
In 1949, the XLRI became the first institute in India to offer certificate courses in human resources management. In 1953, the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management became the first institute in India to offer an MBA degree of an Indian university.
As per figure available there are around 128922 seats in 1608 business schools recognized by AICTE * which offer MBA courses.
