AP MTech Counselling 2023 through GATE: Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, will release the dates for AP PGECET 2023 counselling on the official website – pgecet-sche.aptonline.in. Candidates who qualified for GATE/GPAT and AP PGECET 2023 will be eligible to take part in the web counselling for admission to M. Tech/M. Pharmacy/Pharma D (PB) programs for the academic year 2023-24. The conducting body will also announce the seat allotment for candidates qualifying for AP PGECET 2023 (GATE/GPAT) separately. Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted every year for admission to postgraduate engineering courses in the participating institutes in Andhra Pradesh. This year, the AP PGECET 2023 Exam is being held in online mode from May 28 to 30, 2023.

AP M. Tech Counselling Through GATE 2023

The counselling process for AP PGECET is conducted separately for both GATE/GPAT and AP PGECET qualified candidates. It must be noted that students having a good score in GATE 2023 will be given the first preference during AP M. Tech 2023 admissions. Those who qualify for the AP PEGCET entrance exam 2023 with higher scores will be granted admission on a priority basis only if there are any seats remaining after the first round of allotment.

AP PGECET Counselling 2023 Through GATE: Check Important Dates & Schedule

AP PGECET Counselling 2023 Through GATE: Step-by-Step Procedure

The AP M. Tech 2023 counselling process comprises multiple steps, such as the following:

1. Online Registration and Fee Payment

2. Reporting to the Verification Centres

3. Document Verification

4. Choice-Filling

5. Seat Allotment

Online Registration & Fee Payment 

AP PGECET and GATE qualified candidates must first log in to the official portal using their GATE/AP PGECET rank and hall ticket number. After successful registration, they will need to pay a fee of INR 1,000/- (INR 600/- for SC/ST candidates) through the online mode of payment. The amount shall be non-refundable. Candidates are advised to keep the transaction ID safe for future reference.

Reporting to the Verification Centres

Next, candidates will need to report to the designated centres for document verification with their AP PGECET 2023 ran card.  Candidates will be invited for AP M. Tech counselling 2023 as per their ranks. Details, such as the registration fee receipt/transaction ID, Aadhaar card number and mobile number need to be provided at the centre.

Document Verification 

The next step involves the verification of documents, for which candidates are required to produce the following certificates:

• GATE Score or GATE/AP PGECET Rank card 2023

• AP PGECET 2023 Hall ticket

• Provisional/Degree Certificate

• Memorandum of SSC or its equivalent

• Memorandum of marks of the qualifying exam

• Integrated Community Certificate for SC/ST/BC candidates

• Study certificates from Class 10 to Graduation

• Transfer certificate

• Residence Certificate (obtained by the candidate’s father/mother) showing proof of residence for over 10 years except for the period of their employment outside Andhra Pradesh

• EWS Certificate issued by Tahsildar (if applicable)

• Income Certificate/Household card (white) or Ration card

Choice-Filling 

Following the document verification process, candidates will need to create a login ID and password using the registration number, date of birth, and hall ticket number. They can log in with the OTP provided on their registered mobile number and proceed to fill in their preferred institutes and courses as per choice. Candidates are allowed and encouraged to choose as many options as they can to increase their chances of selection. They must pay the required counselling fee to lock their choices once filled in. 

Seat Allotment

The final step in the process is the AP PGECET 2023 seat allotment. Candidates will be allocated seats based on merit, preference of college/courses, availability of seats etc. The authorities will issue the seat allotment letter, which all candidates must download through a self-reporting system before reporting to the allotted college/institute. Those failing to carry or produce the seat allotment letter at the designated college shall have their candidature cancelled.
