AP PGECET Counselling 2023

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will start the AP PGECET counselling process 2023 in July 2023. Separate counselling is organized by the exam officials for GATE & GPAT and AP PGECET qualifying candidates. Fee payment, reporting at the centres, document verification, option filling, and seat allotment is part of the AP PGECET 2022 counselling process. Selected candidates will be assigned seats in the AP PGECET 2023 based on merit, seat availability, and choice filling.

Some salient features of the AP PGECET counselling process of 2023 are as follows:

• Separate counselling will be organised for GPAT/GATE holders 

• Seats remaining vacant will be filled up through AP PGECET counselling

• GATE/GPAT qualifiers will be given preference while filling up seats

• The qualifying marks for the General category is 30 marks out of 120

Detailed AP PGECET 2023 Counselling Process

Certificate Verification:

Before proceeding to the counselling process, the first step is to verify all the certificates.

• Registration will be done only at the respective help centre only

• One should reach the venue and wait for the announcement from the authorities

• Candidates need to submit an AP PGECET rank card to the personnel at the entrance

• When a candidate’s rank is called, he/she has to pay the counselling fee. Post that, the AP PGECET 2023 registration form will be given to them

• Fill in details like AP PGECET 2022 Hall ticket number and rank in the form

• In the next announcement, the candidate will be called for document verification

Documents Required for AP PGECET Certificate Verification

Candidates will have to bring the original documents with 2 sets of photocopies at the time of verification. Mentioned below are the requisite documents for the process:

• AP PGECET Admit card 2023

• AP PGECET Rank Card

• SSC Passing Certificate

• Intermediate or Equivalent exam mark sheet and passing certificate

• 10th and 12th class Mark Sheet and passing certificate

• GATE Score Card/GPAT Score Card

• Migration or Transfer Certificate

• Income certificate

• Caste certificate (if required)

• Aadhar card

• Residence certificate of either of parents for 10 years in A.P/Telangana excluding the period of their employment outside A.P/Telangana from M.R.O. for candidates who studied outside the state of AP/Telangana

• Disability Certificate (if applicable)

• PC/Degree Certificate & Memorandum of marks of Qualifying Examination

• Integrated community certificate issued by the competent authority in case of BC/SC/ST candidates

Documents required by Special Category candidates:

PH Category: Candidates who belong to the category have to submit a certificate issued by the District Medical Board and should have a disability of 40% and above.

CAP Category: Candidates who belong to this category should submit the following documents:

• Service certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer

• Identity Card

• Serving persons have to submit Service Certificates from their workplace showing the relationship with the candidate

• The candidate whose parents are domicile of AP/Telangana is considered to be eligible to come under the CAP category

• Discharge Book for verification

NCC Category:Candidates who belong to this category have to submit their A, B, C certificates

AP PGECET Web Counselling 2023

After verifying all the certificates, eligible candidates will then have to apply for web counseling.

Choice Filling

Before selecting a preferred college and course, one needs to register and generate a new password using their registration Number, Hall Ticket Number, Rank, Date of Birth as mentioned in the Certificate Verification.

• First, visit the official website of AP PGECET 2023

• Candidates will have to choose the Web Option given on the page

• It will open a new instruction window with all the relevant instructions. Candidates should carefully read the instructions and click the "I understand" button to proceed

• After this, it can open a new window "option form" where candidates can submit AP PGECET hall ticket number, rank, mobile number, and then submit them

• The Options Form will then display the complete list of the colleges based on gender and specialization on the left side, while the right side of the form will be provided for sorting the list of colleges as per the preferences of candidates

Freezing Option

• On completing the preference list, click on the “Save” button and enter the password sent through the SMS and click “Confirm”

• The complete data will be sent to the server for processing and the final list will be displayed in a printed format

• The registered option will be frozen automatically on the specified last date and will be used for seat allotment

• One should make sure to take out a print and re-check the list

Seat Allotment Process

AP PGECET 2022 Seat Allotment will be announced after the completion of each round of the AP PGECET counseling procedure

• Seats will be allotted to candidates as per their order of preference

• AP  PGECET 2023 Seat allotment is done in the order of rank

• The options selected by candidates will be processed and then the final AP PEGCET 2023 Seat allotment result will be announced

• Once the web counseling is completed and the AP PEGCET 2022 Seat allotment results are released, they can not be altered under any circumstances

• The final information regarding the allotment will be communicated to candidates through SMS

• Candidates then must take out the print of the Provisional Allotment Order from the official website of AP PGECET and should report to the allotted college for performing the other admission-related formalities

AP PGECET 2023 Counselling for GATE/GPAT Candidates

Here is what the candidates, who are applying for the AP PGECET 2023 counselling process based on GATE or GPAT scores, have to do to participate in the counselling process of AP PGECET 2023:

Step 1: The candidates have to visit the official website of APSCHE

Step 2: The candidates have to search for the “AP PGECET 2023Counselling” link on the homepage of the official website for registration purpose

Step 3: The candidates will be asked to choose their desired stream from the drop-down list (GATE/GPAT)

Step 4: In this step, the candidates will be asked to fill in their details such as name, contact number, qualifying degree etc

Step 5: After filling in all the details asked for, the candidates have to click on the “Initiate Payment” tab to pay the counselling registration fee

Step 6: The candidates have to use any of the available online payment methods to pay an amount of 659 rupees (plus Taxes) to register for the AP PGECET 2023 counselling process

Step 7: After receiving payment confirmation, the candidates have to visit the official website again to check their payment status by using their contact number and GATE/GPAT Admit Card number

While allocating seats, first preference will be given to the GATE/GPAT applicants and the remaining seats will be filled by AP PGECET qualified candidates.

Certificates Required During AP PGECET 2023 Counselling

The candidates must not forget to carry the following certificates during the AP PGECET 2023 counseling procedure:

• AP PGECET 2023 rank card (or GATE/GPAT 2023 scorecard)

• Admit card of AP PGECET 2023

• Class Xth certificate

• Study certificates (from class Xth till graduation)

• Residence certificate

• Integrated Community Certificate (OBC/SC/ST candidates)

• Residence certificate (either parent for a period of 10 years)

• Transfer certificate

• Income certificate (Ration card etc)

• EWS certificate (issued by Tehsildar)

Some Important Points Regarding AP PGECET 2023 Counselling

Here are some pointers regarding the AP PGECET 2023 counselling process which must be remembered by the candidates:

• GATE/GPAT eligible and qualified candidates have to attend the AP PGECET 2023 web counselling process for admission into M.Tech/M.E/Pharma.D (PB)/M. Pharmacy courses and have to visit any of the Helpline centres mentioned below for the same

• Admission will be granted after the candidates satisfy all the prescribed criteria 

• Admission will be confirmed once the candidates submit the tuition fee

• Seats left after the conclusion of seat allotment of GATE/GPAT candidates will be available for AP PGECET candidates

• The candidates will not receive any separate notification regarding the AP PGECET 2023 counselling process from the authorities

• Only by attending the counselling, the candidates will not be guaranteed a seat

• A non-refundable processing fee has to be paid by the candidates using any of the available online payment methods

• During the payment of the online processing fee, the candidates have to enter their GPAT/GATE/AP PGECET 2023 Admit Card/Hall Ticket number
