Students can check out the IIM Mumbai shortlist status online on the college's official website. Below are the steps that they must follow to check the IIM Mumbai Shortlist status 2026 given below.
- Step 1: Go to the IIM Mumbai official website.
- Step 2: Click on the tab that says “Admission 2026-2027”.
- Step 3: After this, go to the “Apply Now” tab and click on it.
- Step 4: Enter the required details to register yourself, generate login credentials, and pay the IIM Mumbai application fees. The application fees are INR 2000 for General Category candidates and INR 1000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

There are three stages in the IIM Mumbai interview shortlisting process based on the IIM Mumbai cutoff scores. Given below are the stages involved in the IIM Mumbai PI/interview shortlist for the academic year 2026-27:- Step I: Meeting minimum CAT percentile cut-offs and sectional cut-offs for Personal Interview (PI) consideration.
- Step II: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI).
- Step III: This stage involves the criteria for the final selection for the MBA Programme after the Personal Interview.
IIM Mumbai Interview Eligibility Criteria 2026
There is a definite eligibility criterion that students must meet to get selected in the IIM Mumbai interview process. Stduents can find the detailed eligibility criteria given below.- The minimum eligibility for the IIM Mumbai Interview is a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- The minimum required percentage for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories is 45%.
- The Bachelor's degree must be awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- Candidates may also possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Students in the final year of graduation may also apply if they complete their examination, viva voce, etc, by the time of joining the Institute.
- It is also mandatory for the candidates to take and qualify for the CAT 2025 to apply for the IIM Mumbai Interview.
Expected IIM Mumbai Interview Shortlist 2026 Stage I for CAT PI Cutoffs
During Stage I, candidates who fulfil the minimum criteria for both section-wise and overall percentiles in the CAT exam will qualify for consideration in the Personal Interview. - The percentiles mentioned above are the minimum requirements for candidates to proceed to Stage II.
- Actual cut-offs may vary based on the number of candidates shortlisted for the personal interview (PI) in each category. Since they will depend upon the number of candidates to be called for a personal interview (PI) in each category, the actual section-wise and overall percentile cut-offs may be much higher than the minimum percentiles mentioned above.
- Appropriate weightage in the CAT sectional cutoffs and overall CAT score shall be allocated to gender diversity.
Expected IIM Mumbai Interview Shortlist 2026 Stage II for Personal Interview
Candidates who meet the Stage I criteria will be selected for a Personal Interview (PI), with shortlisting determined by their CAT 2025 scores, sectional cut-offs, etc. This composite score will be utilised for the preparation of category-wise merit lists.
